You want characters? You want drama? You want talent? The western conference is a good start

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:59 (five years ago)

J0rdan S., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:59 (five years ago)

J0rdan S., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:59 (five years ago)

melooooo

lag∞n, Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:00 (five years ago)

Admittedly Grayson didn’t block Lillard’s shot that time but coaches tell you not to do that

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:02 (five years ago)

i'm very happy personally for the hall of famer and classic blazer player carmelo anthony who i always trusted from day one would be integral to the success of this team

Clay, Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:02 (five years ago)

this version of melo feels like a replacement level player which would be pretty great for the blazers next season

J0rdan S., Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:03 (five years ago)

melo for that excellent three you get (1) new hat 🙂

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:03 (five years ago)

everyone agreed he would be good on the blazers

lag∞n, Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:03 (five years ago)

Bubble melo seems better

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:03 (five years ago)

That call on the blocked shot turned out to be the difference in the game. But again, he should have known not to block it.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:04 (five years ago)

career high 35 for ja in his first elimination game

lag∞n, Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:08 (five years ago)

blazers team love for nurk is very real and moving

Clay, Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:09 (five years ago)

Really hope the blazers beat the lakers

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:10 (five years ago)

dont think they have the defense for it but yeah that would be very cool

lag∞n, Saturday, 15 August 2020 21:11 (five years ago)

ty matt. beat la!

Really sucks that Sabonis and Warren aren’t healthy

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 22:09 (five years ago)

It's enough for me that we have an NBA playoffs at all. The players will see to it they are worth watching.

the unappreciated charisma of cows (Aimless), Saturday, 15 August 2020 22:47 (five years ago)

nuggets will win the nba playoffs

ciderpress, Saturday, 15 August 2020 22:59 (five years ago)

that's the spirit!

the unappreciated charisma of cows (Aimless), Saturday, 15 August 2020 23:13 (five years ago)

btw here would be the 1-16 match ups this year

1. bucks vs. 16. magic
2. raptors vs. 15. blazers
3. lakers vs. 14. nets
4. clippers vs. 13. mavs
5. celtics vs. 12. sixers
6. nuggets vs. 11. heat
7. pacers vs. 10. jazz
8. rockets vs. 9. thunder

not that different actually... basically a question of whether you'd rather see rivalryish conference match ups or randomish funky cross conference match ups

J0rdan S., Saturday, 15 August 2020 23:17 (five years ago)

second round match ups

1. bucks vs. 8. rockets/9. thunder
2. raptors vs. 7. pacers/10. jazzz
3. lakers vs. 6. nuggets/11. heat
4. clippers vs. 5. celtics

semi finals

1. bucks vs. 4. clippers
2. raptors vs. 3. lakers

the quality of the series all feel mostly the same to me in either format, it's mostly a question of which flavor you like. i don't buy that one way is necessarily more fair than the other. i like the conference rivalries aspect personally

feel like a lot of people who push 1-16 may be in a post-fandom stage where they can't appreciate an awesome conference rivalry

call all destroyer, Saturday, 15 August 2020 23:47 (five years ago)

yeah fr, i understand that years of letting eastern conf flunkies in at the expense of western conf 9th seeds who would be 3rd in the east or w/e was frustrating, but also those marginal WC teams got good draft picks and became gooder (ie denver)

methinks dababy doth bop shit too much (m bison), Sunday, 16 August 2020 00:04 (five years ago)

m bison, do you realize you are predicting that Meyers Leonard will help take two different teams to the Conference Finals in two consecutive years?

this is conservative propaganda

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 August 2020 00:42 (five years ago)

Been thinking a lot about those two push off jumpers McCollum hit at the end of the game. How they were done so tastefully that you couldn’t call a foul. An art really.

Happy the blazers won cos they have a chance to make it interesting vs the lakers. Gary Trent jr is so good seems like he’s just one of those guys that does the right thing every play. Melo was pretty bad this game but they have no other options so he gets enough burn to make a shot or two when it matters. At least you know you’ve got a guy out there who isn’t afraid of the moment.

Really impressed by the Grizz. They are set up for a long time and way ahead of schedule. They add justice Winslow next season too, would be nice if he could play more then 40 games in a season.

Spottie, Sunday, 16 August 2020 05:57 (five years ago)

I stan Dame and co but I think LA is going to absolutely steamroll the blazers, who’ve spent the past week winning exhausting nail biters vs teams who were either crippled or had nothing to play for.

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Sunday, 16 August 2020 14:50 (five years ago)

yeah that team is gassed and broken going up against bron who has been on vacation this whole time

methinks dababy doth bop shit too much (m bison), Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:08 (five years ago)

even if they were well rested i dont see how they start to defend bron or brow

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:16 (five years ago)

like who are the guys they even start on them

lag∞n, Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:16 (five years ago)

It’s pretty crazy that they didn’t replace their wing defenders at all. Not even just a cheap role player. Like Torrey Craig would probably be playing 30 mpg for them against the lakers

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:26 (five years ago)

sadly otm on the blazers, they're gonna need to score 160 a game the way they're defending

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:42 (five years ago)

if they had ariza with them that would have helped but the lakers are just a bad matchup for them.

call all destroyer, Sunday, 16 August 2020 15:48 (five years ago)

carmelo vs lebron, baby!

circles, Sunday, 16 August 2020 16:33 (five years ago)

Melo shouldn't guard LeBron more than five minutes a game, and then only if they run lots of screens to switch Melo onto him deliberately. Ariza will be sorely missed.

the unappreciated charisma of cows (Aimless), Sunday, 16 August 2020 16:40 (five years ago)

Ariza, harkless, aminu... they needed a guy like that

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 16 August 2020 17:46 (five years ago)

i've already forgotten that they were in the conference finals last year
