pels have had those vibes for ages, remember when the entire team got injured by december every season

ciderpress, Saturday, 15 August 2020 17:46 (five years ago)

"Bad organization vibes" would have been retaining Gentry another year after how unmitigatedly awful he's been for basically all of his tenure in New Orleans save 1 lone year. Just two seasons of winning more than 40 games in 16 years as a head coach; both those seasons he had MVP candidate superstars carrying his rosters. Gentry's a nice and affable man but that clearly has never translated to consistently winning basketball games in the NBA. At least in the head coaching spot as opposed to as an assistant.

gonna give griffin a chance here he hired the suns trainer and fired gentry both good moves imo

lag∞n, Saturday, 15 August 2020 17:55 (five years ago)

see who he hires now

lag∞n, Saturday, 15 August 2020 17:56 (five years ago)

Lue would be an obvious pick since they worked together before but I think Lue's a decent coach

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Saturday, 15 August 2020 17:57 (five years ago)

feel like lue is more of a vets coach u need a teaching coach for their roster

lag∞n, Saturday, 15 August 2020 18:03 (five years ago)

The Pelicans aren't as bad as the Knicks, Cavs, or Timberwolves, but they are in the bottom third in terms of obvious organizational flaws.

I will coach the pels

k3vin k., Saturday, 15 August 2020 18:03 (five years ago)

Does he get to wear a big sash with that printed on it, or is it just a merit badge?

the unappreciated charisma of cows (Aimless), Saturday, 15 August 2020 18:10 (five years ago)

he gets one of these

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Saturday, 15 August 2020 18:43 (five years ago)

doesn't look like it's gonna happen for the grizz today

J0rdan S., Saturday, 15 August 2020 19:07 (five years ago)

nuggets are the only one of the 1-3 seeds that are at all vulnerable in the first round but the jazz kinda suck

ciderpress, Saturday, 15 August 2020 19:13 (five years ago)

absurd back to back plays in the paint by slomo

k3vin k., Saturday, 15 August 2020 19:20 (five years ago)

time for david griffin to earn his money. i *think* he’s pretty good but you always have to watch it with guys who work the media.

call all destroyer, Saturday, 15 August 2020 19:29 (five years ago)

Dame and Nurkic playing great hoops. Blazer bench looking like a trash fire, unless you count Gary Trent, Jr. as a bench player, which is not exactly true rn with CJ's fractured back.

the unappreciated charisma of cows (Aimless), Saturday, 15 August 2020 19:36 (five years ago)

yes dame and nurkic chemistry is amazing

J0rdan S., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:15 (five years ago)

ja and dame trading punches *_*

J0rdan S., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:16 (five years ago)

nuggets are the only one of the 1-3 seeds that are at all vulnerable in the first round but the jazz kinda suck

Seems like Gobert doesn’t know what to do with Jokic which is the ballgame pretty much

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:27 (five years ago)

Grayson Allen just a rock solid backup now, underrated part of that trade

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:29 (five years ago)

portland doing that thing they've done for years of playing at the *exact* talent level of their opponent which i guess keeps things interesting

Clay, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:30 (five years ago)

Great call there

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:33 (five years ago)

technical foul on grayson allen in the 4th quarter of an elimination game

k3vin k., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:33 (five years ago)

Honestly... it seems like Grayson maybe doesn’t get the calls. He earned it but

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:34 (five years ago)

Clean block, pretty reasonable reaction to the bad call

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:35 (five years ago)

allen absolutely had all ball there but otoh lol at grayson allen

Clay, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:35 (five years ago)

you’re just very rarely going to get the benefit of the doubt when you swipe down like that in midair

k3vin k., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:37 (five years ago)

He didn’t swipe down

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:38 (five years ago)

Also yet another awful example of coaches not using their challenge

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:39 (five years ago)

Two players jumping up and down, absolutely sure it’s a bad call

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:39 (five years ago)

ok, across. you know what I mean

k3vin k., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:39 (five years ago)

So a block basically

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:40 (five years ago)

it’s a bad call but one you don’t expect to get the benefit of the doubt on, which is why players are taught not to do that

k3vin k., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:40 (five years ago)

some real garbage ball going on out there!

Clay, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:41 (five years ago)

I don’t think players are taught not to block shots

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:42 (five years ago)

carmelo anthony isoing on anthony tolliver, it’s the NBA on ANC!

k3vin k., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:42 (five years ago)

matt

k3vin k., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:42 (five years ago)

The alternative there is to let him dunk. Skeptical that this is the coached alternative

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:42 (five years ago)

Iguodala swipes down on people all the time btw

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:46 (five years ago)

that should be a rip through on nurk?

k3vin k., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:46 (five years ago)

some goofy assed basketball going on here

Clay, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:52 (five years ago)

8 of the Blazers' 9 bubble games have been within 3 points in the last 3 minutes of the 4th.

i love games when mccollum randomly hits 4 straight daggers in a row

J0rdan S., Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:53 (five years ago)

ha yes i just texted a friend that this 4th quarter is straight up a blazers bubble blueprint xp

Clay, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:54 (five years ago)

Bit of a swipe by Gary Trent on that block

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:56 (five years ago)

the western conference is full of talented basketball teams and players
-- mark jackson

Clay, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:58 (five years ago)

You want characters? You want drama? You want talent? The western conference is a good start

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 15 August 2020 20:59 (five years ago)

stay melo folks
