it wasn't about zion it was about money... they needed regular season games to generate tv revenue and salary for the players. thus you needed more than just the playoff teams there, thus the nets, and here we are. in 6 weeks nobody will remember anything about the nets time in the bubble

doing it this way generates more product and concocting some elaborate 8/9 play in game scheme make it less transparent that they're shipping the kings, suns, wizards etc off to orlando just to wring cash out of regional sports networks. also zion

they've also created the illusion of the restarted season having meaning... if you had the playoff teams playing vs each other simply for seeding purposes nobody would care because there's not even home court

they shdve just brought all the teams and finished the regular season, instead they brought 3/4 of the teams?

i think this weird short end to the season is good. let the players play through the rust for a couple weeks.

digging the bubble games, they remind me of the preseason college ball tourneys they play in puerto rico or the bahamas, and the courts are used as convention centers and ballrooms for the other 50 weeks of the year

Ayton always had good potential in terms of his physical attributes. He just never had to work all that hard at hoops before he came into the league, where everyone on every team is a world-class athlete and even the superstars work their freaking butts off in order to make their way to the top of the heap.

tatum has been soo bad so far in da bubble like not just missing layups missing the rim, keep thinking about how early in the shutdown it was revealed he didnt have a hoop at his house, hope he found a way to get some shots up!
