here's a dumbass arbitrary list espn is rolling out we can argue about if you guys want

i mad abt it but not mad enough to write a lot of sentences. chris paul is at #40 and he's too low bc a bunch of wack PGs are ahead of him

getting on the list = good stats and a relatable story
position on the list = who has the better story

giannis high as he is is getting silly

i don't even really like chris paul and that ranking is insane

i saw enough to see that some of the blurbs are written by the espn beat guys who, tbc, are great as beat writers but are way out of their league doing all time lists

I hate these lists so much. They really need to split them into like pre 1970 or pre 3 pointer or pre nba/aba merger... somewhere in the 70s. The game is just so different. Then they just do stuff like put giannis and brow way up here based on what they could potentially do. Just hate it all I’m sick of player rankings

My guess is Spalding wasn't seeing much revenue generated as a result of being official game ball. I almost never see Spaldings in the wild; Wilson's are the go-to for all rec league, HS, pickup games.

yah i see them a ton for outdoor use but theyve messed up a ton i think. they priced the nba genuine game ball way out of reach of normal people at like $170. then they got rid of their 2nd best ball and the best bang for your buck ball the TF-1000. then they tried to course correct and brought it back with a legacy edition then tried to come back with the classic edition but it was just never the same. ive still got an unopened original TF-1000 in my closet.

i hate wilson composite balls so much. all of them.

they say the wilson nba ball is going to be same specs and leather as the spalding so i doubt it will be much different. hopefully cheaper!

I splurged and got a game ball few years ago. Fucking thing went flat after being used like 1/2 dozen times.

to me they have the opposite effect of what you want. they feel great when you grab it at first or dribble around or shoot a bit.. but as soon as you get sweaty they (depending on the ball) get harder and more slippery. the leather ball is the opposite, feels like a brick when you grab it at first but one game in there's nothing better. and you can use the glass with way more control cos it doesnt grip the glass it's more of a natural bounce off of it.

obv this is all personal pref but i always wanted to play with the ball the pros played with and it always just felt right to me

game leather ball obvs the best xp cant use dem outdoors tho and as we covered they cost way too much

it funny a lot of people dont like the leather ball i think mostly cause theyre not used to them because they never use them because they cost too much

defensively? not rly. tho his offense might be elite enough to make up for it.

Yeah in 18-19 he was literally bottom five in defense which is hard to fade
