real shit about 1/2 way through the clip when the 1on1's start. MJ showing some of his repetoire but seems like he's always reacting to what the defender is giving him rather than "ok now I'll do move #12 on this guy" etc

Lady faints, Jordan innocent

Michael Jordan mistakenly thought a woman who fainted during lunch was left breathless because she saw him walk into Café Mediterraneo at the CuisinArt Resort and Spa on Anguilla over the holiday. Turns out, she keeled over while chatting with a doctor about how to fix her son's broken nose. "As the woman was listening, Michael walked in, and she looked up and acknowledged him," said a source. "She then got so upset by what the doctor was saying about her son, she literally fainted to the floor. The next day, Michael called the front desk to make sure that 'the girl who passed out when she saw me was doing OK.' " Jordan was at the resort having lunch with Derek Jeter and Minka Kelly. The Chicago Bulls legend flew down to the island on his plane branded with a blue-and-white Air Jordan logo of him dunking a basketball on its tail.

He's in regular touch with Buzz Peterson and Adolph Shiver, basketball pals from his Tar Heel days. He enjoys bowling, follows stock-car racing and tools around in a four-wheel-drive Chevy Blazer. If this sounds like a guy who'll someday retire to a trailer park, remember that he'll be getting $4 million from the Bulls over five years

no way FOUR MILLION???!!??!!!? he should retire after that

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Friday, 17 May 2013 21:22 (thirteen years ago)

And suddenly, plays called by Collins were being ignored as Jordan took the ball to the basket. But who could really complain, since the Bulls had started to win? Eventually, though, word got back to Cartwright. He didn`t do or say anything to anybody until late that season, when he told Jordan he needed to talk to him.

There was little small talk exchanged. ``I don`t like the things I`ve heard you say about me,`` Cartwright told Jordan.

Jordan stared at him.

``If I ever hear again that you`re telling guys not to pass me the ball,`` Cartwright continued, ``you will never play basketball again.``

did not know Bill was so gangsta

yeah easy to remember the times he shot them into it and forget the times he shot them out rose tinted glasses and so forth, tho on the other hand he have five rings so it couldnt have been that bad

I don't know I feel like a lot of those teams the bulls faced were in fact possibly legendary squads that happened to run into the best team of all time. They were some frightening teams, I don't ever remember feeling worried about the bulls but the only reason I felt that way is because they didn't seem like a squad that would make nearly as many mistakes. And certainly not fatal ones. I think if the bulls were more mistake prone, the teams they faced were more than capable of knocking them out. And it seemed like as the years went on the teams got tougher but maybe the bulls just got older..

omar little, Thursday, 23 May 2024 15:11 (two years ago)

the point that gary payton made in the jordan doc that jordan laughed at was actually true that if hed guarded jordan from the start of the series the sonics wouldve had a good shot at winning

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 May 2024 15:13 (two years ago)

With LeBron I guess it's not so much that there is this feeling like his teams are going to lose as much as with extremely rare exception his teams have been just another squad in the playoff mix. Those Miami teams are the exception.

omar little, Thursday, 23 May 2024 15:15 (two years ago)

Actually to the point about the warriors, that's what made the warriors dynasty special as well is they were the big dog everyone expected to come out on top. They were never just another team that had a decent shot.

omar little, Thursday, 23 May 2024 15:16 (two years ago)

I really would have loved to have seen a finals matchup between the bulls and rockets. Probably the biggest missed matchup opportunity of the 90s.

ya thats true and even those miami teams lost two out of four, tho tbf they did make the finals all four which is not bad, and then the superteam sitch limited their longevity which makes it seem more like a blip than a run

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 May 2024 15:19 (two years ago)

bulls prob wouldve wrecked those hakeem rockets teams they just have enough star power

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 May 2024 15:20 (two years ago)

As a bulls fan I have no doubt that it would have been an eightpeat

omar little, Thursday, 23 May 2024 15:25 (two years ago)

Miami probably should've won it in their first year, iirc Game 2 they were up like 15 with a few minutes to play and Dirk wound up playing some of the most insane ball I've ever seen, had they threepeated the conversation would be a lot different. but then again if Ray Allen misses that 3 in Game 6 maybe the Heat only onepeat. idk just saying so much of all-time greatness seems to hinge on what breaks you do or dont get

frogbs, Thursday, 23 May 2024 15:26 (two years ago)

is it just me or has Jordan fallen off the face of the earth since the Last Dance doc? obviously he's not Shaq and never seemed too interested in the celebrity life but you'd at least still see him in commercials or have him show up to games, it's kind of odd that such a living legend has basically disappeared. idk maybe i'm just not watching the right stuff

frogbs, Tuesday, 29 April 2025 20:34 (one year ago)
