don't think the heat will be able to score enough in crunch time vs the bucks in a potential 1/4 series to win more than 2 games, but it will be an interesting match up for the bucks. if you were gonna go into a lab to create a giannis stopper you'd probably come out w/ a player who looks a lot like bam. plus the heat have guys like crowder, igou, butler who are less capable of stopping giannis 1 on 1 but at least won't be scared. and derrick jones jr has looked ok on him so far with his length, but over 7 games giannis would prob kill him in the post.

the heat have had a tougher time stopping middleton honestly. he played duncan robinson off the floor really quickly tonight which is a problem for the heat bcuz duncan really takes their offense to the next level especially at home where he's one of the most dangerous shooters in the league. but veteran wings are going to target him immediately in the playoffs and i don't think he can hold up on the defensive end.

he was kind of out of it but the heat have stuck bad games on him before by adopting a strategy of walling him off from the basket at all costs. there were tons of possessions last night where he was surrounded by 3-4 guys in the paint and either passed or forced up shots. there were also open jumpers and stuff he just flat missed that will go in on other nights. and as i posted last night i think bam might be the single best defender on giannis of any team in the east but it was def a team effort.

it was probably a preview of what the playoffs are going to look like for the bucks. the math on the game was actually kind of crazy... the heat made 18 threes to the bucks 7, a difference of 33 points but the heat only won by 16. it's basically impossible to score on the bucks at the basket, and in games where middelton and others are hitting threes they're just going to be really tough to beat. but there are going to be games (like last night) where teams execute the game plan on giannis well and middleton, wes matthews, bledsoe, george hill, divencenzo etc are gonna have to make threes.
