shamet is a cool player

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Friday, 14 February 2020 03:54 (six years ago)

the only pure sports fandom i have left is reserved for big celtics games so idk posting feels like a jinx

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 February 2020 03:54 (six years ago)

lol fair.

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Friday, 14 February 2020 03:56 (six years ago)

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Friday, 14 February 2020 03:56 (six years ago)

just tuned in for the end of this and i will post madly

Clay, Friday, 14 February 2020 03:58 (six years ago)

Kemba got shamet nasty right there

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Friday, 14 February 2020 03:59 (six years ago)

this is the good hoops

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Friday, 14 February 2020 04:02 (six years ago)

tuning in cold to a second overtime is a bit like "wow these professional basketball players are terrible at hoops"

Clay, Friday, 14 February 2020 04:04 (six years ago)

pretty cool all the main celtics had big moments in this game

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Friday, 14 February 2020 04:08 (six years ago)

to echo what everyone is saying on twitter, this is the best game tatum has ever played. fearless on both sides of the court. outplayed kawhi convincingly. the type of game that makes me wonder if i'm wrong about his ceiling.

shoutouts to theis and hayward who both played brilliant defense. theis made zubac look absolutely useless out there.

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 February 2020 04:13 (six years ago)

the clippers are a very strange team still. on most championship-level teams two of the best four players don't come off the bench.

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 February 2020 04:16 (six years ago)

i still cant judge them cos pg and kawhi have only played like ten games together

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Friday, 14 February 2020 04:17 (six years ago)

theis has been extremely good in his role this season

ciderpress, Friday, 14 February 2020 04:28 (six years ago)

Looking at that graphic, Dame is averaging more min/game than any other NBA player. He's sturdy, but he's carrying a hell of a load.

A is for (Aimless), Friday, 14 February 2020 17:13 (six years ago)

yeah doesn't bode super well for playoffs

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Friday, 14 February 2020 17:17 (six years ago)

neither does being well under .500 in late February

Clay, Friday, 14 February 2020 17:24 (six years ago)

McCollum just hasn't had much mojo this season. Getting that big contract sometimes affects guys in subconscious ways they don't see, don't understand, and would never admit to themselves. Some part of their brain just decides they have finally arrived at their destination and they are done with having to strive so hard for recognition and respect.

A is for (Aimless), Friday, 14 February 2020 17:25 (six years ago)

cj has always been fool’s gold imo

Clay, Friday, 14 February 2020 17:26 (six years ago)

dame dragging this team to the playoffs would be an accomplishment in of itself

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 February 2020 17:44 (six years ago)

im pretty surprised they didnt move on from CJ years ago when he peaked. They wanted the splash bro setup but dame isnt quite as good as steph and cj isnt even close to klay. they start just about every game at a major defensive disadvantage with those two together. i like cj but dame needs a two way star next to him imo.

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Friday, 14 February 2020 18:13 (six years ago)

i think it's just....when you score a really good player with the 10th pick, you're a small market, and that player is tight with your superstar, it's really tough to trade that guy.

he's never been my favorite player but his one premium skill has a lot of value in the playoffs. i do think his dropoff has probably started as he was never the most athletic guy

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 February 2020 18:20 (six years ago)

yah trading away a guy like that is near impossible.

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Friday, 14 February 2020 18:22 (six years ago)

he just about single handedly won game 7 against Denver last year tbh I just don’t think he’s remotely the kinda star you want next to a guy like dame

Clay, Friday, 14 February 2020 18:40 (six years ago)

yah

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Friday, 14 February 2020 18:57 (six years ago)

anyways reports are he has been traded for KAT so kudos to all involved

Clay, Friday, 14 February 2020 19:00 (six years ago)

I think if the blazers had kept all their role players from last season they’d be doing fine

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 February 2020 21:15 (six years ago)

unless the blazers can somehow find a star level wing there will always be a cap on how far they can go. dame is amazing but he's too little. i don't think guys like that can carry you to a title. all that said, dame is really the perfect test case in how a fan base can derive enjoyment from a team without everything having to live and die with a championship. when he retires (or leaves) the blazers prob won't have won a title or even made the finals, but they'll have been in the playoffs a bunch of times, he'll have had some monster seasons playing an exciting brand of basketball, and put up two of the greatest buzzer beaters in NBA history on their home floor. don't know how you can look back on that w/ anything but extreme fondness.

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 February 2020 22:43 (six years ago)

^otm

A is for (Aimless), Friday, 14 February 2020 23:04 (six years ago)

yup. the nba is the sport where rings or bust mentality is most toxic. there are a lot of fanbases that would gladly take the last 8 years of blazers results.

the player introductions are worth watching just for common's dorkiest rhymes of all times

"he's out there handling the rock like gibralter / let's hear it for kemba walker"

Clay, Monday, 17 February 2020 02:33 (six years ago)

i'm no longer paying attention to it despite being a captive audience

Lol fine I’ll watch this

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Monday, 17 February 2020 02:47 (six years ago)

The dunk contest was fun I thought

Thybulle on the Dash (Spottie), Monday, 17 February 2020 02:47 (six years ago)

yeah probably the best dunk contest I’ve ever seen

k3vin k., Monday, 17 February 2020 03:00 (six years ago)

the dunks were great, the contest portion could have used some work

call all destroyer, Monday, 17 February 2020 03:02 (six years ago)

aaron gordon was robbed again

majority whip, majority nae nae (m bison), Monday, 17 February 2020 03:08 (six years ago)

thought DJJ was the clear winner tbh

k3vin k., Monday, 17 February 2020 03:10 (six years ago)

DJJ's reverse 360 and aaron gordon's 1 handed swoop down off the side of the backboard were two of the best dunk contest dunks
