Nba shouldn’t retire any numbers

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 04:15 (six years ago)

feel like kobe would be appalled by the idea of his number being retired by the celtics...

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 29 January 2020 04:59 (six years ago)

my general feeling about all this kobe stuff is the league prob should wait awhile until emotions have cooled before like irrevocably changing things to deify the guy

Clay, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 05:03 (six years ago)

the thing kobe wld really hate is people having emotions and especially especially having emotions that cause them to postpone a basketball game

lag∞n, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 05:10 (six years ago)

he wld be going around taking away his shoes from the entire league for being soft

lag∞n, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 05:10 (six years ago)

Otm he woulda clowned Kyrie for sitting out last game to grieve

“I’m changing my number which I wear in honor of someone because he died.”

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 16:35 (six years ago)

It would be funny if some team retired Kobe’s number but also threw in Maravich’s number

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 16:37 (six years ago)

Hell why not Petrovic

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 16:37 (six years ago)

retire all the numbers go to symbols

lag∞n, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 16:55 (six years ago)

massive locker room fight over who gets to wear the 100 emoji

ciderpress, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 16:57 (six years ago)

lmao

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 17:00 (six years ago)

i can think of a few players who should wear an *

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 17:28 (six years ago)

Wilt was always the most shocking basketball death to me. Just seemed like he would live forever.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 18:37 (six years ago)

Can you imagine if this happened when Kobe was still playing?? Who has died during their career? Bias and Drazen? Obv Kobe's death is a tragedy, but what starts the tearducts flowing for me is thinking about Gianna and a life cut short. Same thing with Bias and Drazen. Great talents who didn't live long enough to fully display their talents and have possible HOF careers, let alone fulfilling lives off the court.

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 18:49 (six years ago)

Reggie Lewis

omar little, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 18:51 (six years ago)

Petrovic and Reggie died like six weeks apart and they were the biggest active player deaths in my lifetime wrt the nba

omar little, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 18:52 (six years ago)

and Hank Gathers if including NCAA. I was big into NCAA tourney back then and that was so shocking and freaky, actually having footage of him dying, ugh.

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 18:54 (six years ago)

thinking about Gianna and a life cut short

I think three other girls her age died in the crash, too.

A is for (Aimless), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 18:55 (six years ago)

the other recent sports death that truly shocked me to my core was Jose Fernandez, just in terms of what happened and how much potential he had and what he'd already accomplished. and the fact that it occurred during his breakout season.

omar little, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 19:39 (six years ago)

For some reason, it made me think of is the Heat’s championship parade when the float went under a low clearance bridge and almost got the Heatles killed.

brimstead, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 19:45 (six years ago)

Bison Dele fucked me up

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 19:46 (six years ago)

yea was trying to think of any other player as iconic as Kobe passing away at such a relatively young age and the only thing I could come up with was Roberto Clemente

frogbs, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 19:47 (six years ago)

Yup, but Clemente died flying on a humanitarian mission to Central America. Kobe died helicoptering around Los Angeles.

A is for (Aimless), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 19:54 (six years ago)

The junior seau death was super sad and felt like the nfl tried to brush it away asap

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 19:56 (six years ago)

Yup, but Clemente died flying on a humanitarian mission to Central America. Kobe died helicoptering around Los Angeles

There were 4 other people who died on that flight too.

Wow! I had forgotten all about those other passengers, granny. It happened so long ago. I'm amazed you knew that.

A is for (Aimless), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 20:12 (six years ago)

On July 6, 2002 Dele and his girlfriend, Serena Karlan, along with skipper Bertrand Saldo, sailed from Tahiti on Dele's catamaran, the Hukuna Matata.

sounds like a boat name a scriptwriter would assign

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 20:16 (six years ago)

Thurman Munson was another one.

Aaron Hernandez doesn't count here i guess.

smh patriot erasure

lag∞n, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 22:04 (six years ago)

it used to be a thing to talk about a LeBron stopper. Is there such a thing as a Giannis stopper limiter? Anyone / any scheme been effective this year?

that's not my post, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 22:16 (six years ago)

a good team scheme can slow him down for sure. but no one wants to show their hand or try at an elite level in the reg season.

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 22:17 (six years ago)

i think the goal is known at least, keep him out of the paint, as to how u do that...........

lag∞n, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 22:17 (six years ago)

So ... teams going to try something new in the offs and pray?

that's not my post, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 22:19 (six years ago)

i think swarming is good like fast double teams by lengthy perimeter players fast frenetic d that doesnt let him be deliberate also of course dont give him turnovers

lag∞n, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 22:19 (six years ago)

― that's not my post, Wednesday, January 29, 2020 bookmarkflaglink

yeah you have 4-7 games in a row to try and figure it out while getting max effort from your guys, bucks were up 2-0 in the conf finals and lost 4 in a row. game 3 went to OT. they just needed a normal series from bledsoe really.

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Wednesday, 29 January 2020 22:31 (six years ago)

i think u gotta put a smaller quicker big wing type player who can stay in front of him on him then be ready to double if he gets into the paint, or if you have anthony davis just use him

lag∞n, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 22:44 (six years ago)

tobias harris, james johnson, kawhi obvs, jaylen brown even

lag∞n, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 22:48 (six years ago)

thad young has the tools to guard giannis, wonder if another eastern team will target him in a trade

micah, Wednesday, 29 January 2020 23:21 (six years ago)

yeah I honestly feel nothing about kobe’s death, other than a general sense of unfairness at a life cut short, but fernandez was the last athlete death that really affected me

k3vin k., Wednesday, 29 January 2020 23:24 (six years ago)

lag∞n, Thursday, 30 January 2020 00:15 (six years ago)

not sure there's a team with a more dire outlook than the pistons. not even a young prospect to be excited about on that roster. maybe sekou?

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Thursday, 30 January 2020 00:19 (six years ago)

sekou coud be good, but yeah. its just mediocre as hell and only getting worse.

ehh hornets were that team last year and they've already found some new talent, its possible

ciderpress, Thursday, 30 January 2020 00:26 (six years ago)

hornets are a half game behind detroit, theyre still bad

majority whip, majority nae nae (m bison), Thursday, 30 January 2020 00:33 (six years ago)
