celtics have no size and no bench, if it were just one of those problems mb they could work on fixing it but theyre too flawed to seriously contend

*this assumes were not gonna worry abt not having a top 10 player

lag∞n, Wednesday, 22 January 2020 16:51 (six years ago)

I'm just trying to translate Simmons-speak, Ewing theory being "great player who doesn't have the championship gear" or whatever

That’s not what Ewing theory is. Ewing theory is that sometimes a star player gets injured and his teammates step into expanded roles and are better/team chemistry improves.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 22 January 2020 17:09 (six years ago)

the real ewing theory is that patrick ewing sucked

ja was weirdly shafted by the recruiting services, probably because zion was overshadowing him. he only had one major school offer him (south carolina), and he went to murray state cause they offered him first lol.

also weirdly he wasnt particularly great his freshman year but has been unstoppable since

lag∞n, Wednesday, 22 January 2020 17:35 (six years ago)

like hes doing better his 1st year in the nba than he did his 1st year in college

lag∞n, Wednesday, 22 January 2020 17:35 (six years ago)

culture of mayordom (voodoo chili), Wednesday, 22 January 2020 18:03 (six years ago)

lag∞n, Wednesday, 22 January 2020 18:04 (six years ago)

that was his sophomore season

lag∞n, Wednesday, 22 January 2020 18:25 (six years ago)

also some guys' games are better suited to NBA style of play than NCAA, and vice versa

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Wednesday, 22 January 2020 18:30 (six years ago)

he was great his sophomore season, he went from a barely recruited guy who had a good but not nearly spectacular freshman season to a superstar in his sophomore year and just kept it rolling into the pros, not a huge deal just kinda an unusual progression is all

lag∞n, Wednesday, 22 January 2020 18:34 (six years ago)

wonder if he worked on some skill that unlocked his game that summer before he blew up

lag∞n, Wednesday, 22 January 2020 18:35 (six years ago)

he forgot to apply his stat points from previous level ups

ciderpress, Wednesday, 22 January 2020 18:38 (six years ago)

xp ah yes, forgot that he wasn't a one and done

culture of mayordom (voodoo chili), Wednesday, 22 January 2020 19:58 (six years ago)

hopefully nothing

Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. is questionable with back tightness.

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Wednesday, 22 January 2020 23:43 (six years ago)

Nuggets are without 5 of their top 8 players tonight which isn’t optimal

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 23 January 2020 00:18 (six years ago)

Sixers fan here. Would it be crazy to trade Embiid for say McCollum and one or two first round picks? Play Simmons at the 5 some. /armchairgm

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 January 2020 01:00 (six years ago)

you dont trade your best player. they should move horford or could move simmons.

micah, Thursday, 23 January 2020 01:09 (six years ago)

Got a feeling Embiid has already peaked and is gonna be washed by 30

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Thursday, 23 January 2020 01:38 (six years ago)
