i just really dont like listening to recordings of ppl talking like radio audio books whatever im just not into it i find it irritating

i do it cos all the good ocntent is on there but i dont enjoy it. i listen at 1.25X speed so i can get through it quick and speed up the pod voice cadences

the only two pods i got into were on the same long drive the one abt the manson family and the one about buddy cianci they were both excellent

Totally agree w p much all the negative criticisms but dude knows nba past and present. Generally find it worthwhile to put up with his grating qualities to get that sweet gooey bball knowledge.

That said I feel like he has same problem I have with most sports talk: too much "insider baseball shit", salary and trade talk, and not enough about strategy and personalities and scouting. Which is why you I've been gravitating to the ex or current player-run podcasts

To me, the insider stuff is the only reason to listen to him on basketball. If he tries to talk strategy or scouting, I'm fastforwarding to the brunch talk.

Well there's insider stuff from player perspective which I love a ton. And there's insider stuff from a beat reporter type perspective or about the league as a business, which I could not care less about. Different strokes tho obv. Seems like most sports fans eat that stuff up.
