shammy

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 January 2020 17:09 (six years ago)

wonder if the game getting less physical is letting players develop faster, luka and trae top five in scoring in their 2nd years, ja lighting it up as a rookie

― lag∞n, Wednesday, January 15, 2020 11:30 AM (forty-five minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

yeah i think this is true plus pace of game. it's just a really nice time to be a perimeter player on offense.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 15 January 2020 17:20 (six years ago)

Luka is just a freak and is also built like a truck. Trae is the guy who seems to be of this era and reflective of a new kind of basketball. OTOH he’s the worst defender in the nba so there’s an adjustment going on there

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 15 January 2020 17:27 (six years ago)

I was a Trae skeptic because so much of his game is built on crazy threes but it looks like he really can shoot those at a good clip which makes him a monster

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 15 January 2020 17:29 (six years ago)

insane court vision too. the defense thing is a big deal tho.

ja broke coach nick

I think I'm just going to post a video of Ja's highlights with music. They're flabbergasting

Yeah think so. Plus the continuing of the trend of each class of new players who have grown up where basketball=handles+deep shooting prowess. On the whole young guys are so much better at both than in the past.

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Wednesday, 15 January 2020 18:12 (six years ago)

ja currently really close to a 50/40/80 start to the season...

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 January 2020 18:13 (six years ago)

xp also coaches have no compunction against letting youngsters off the leash like they used to

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Wednesday, 15 January 2020 18:19 (six years ago)

Tell that to Mike Malone!

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 15 January 2020 18:20 (six years ago)

lol there's still a couple holdouts def

players come into the league w insane skills now i think the trainer phenomenon has something to do w it, schools are limited in the amount of time theyre allowed to work w players and theyre more concerned w winning than development

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 January 2020 18:31 (six years ago)

zion coming back next thursday now dammit

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 16 January 2020 01:48 (six years ago)

celtics down 13 in the 4th to the pistons rn theyve been playing some low energy ball recently

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2020 01:48 (six years ago)

11/13 from the field with 6 minutes left in the first half

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 16 January 2020 01:49 (six years ago)

they had 2 back-to-backs with travel last week they're still kinda gassed i think. and they have a 3rd tomorrow vs milwaukee, probably about as much of a scheduled loss as possible

ciderpress, Thursday, 16 January 2020 01:51 (six years ago)

I remember during Towns’ rookie season when people said he was “future mvp” like it was a title bestowed officially

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 16 January 2020 01:53 (six years ago)

after tomorrow they will have played 9 games in 14 days

ciderpress, Thursday, 16 January 2020 01:53 (six years ago)

yeah thats ridiculous

not too many ppl have payed this good as a 20 y/o rookie, nba got some real good talent thats not old enough to go to a bar rn

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2020 01:54 (six years ago)

luka ja zion trae (is old enough to go to a bar now)

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2020 01:55 (six years ago)

celtics schedule has sucked, they're really paying for the random 5-day off stretch they got a few weeks ago

call all destroyer, Thursday, 16 January 2020 02:00 (six years ago)

insane court vision too. the defense thing is a big deal tho.

Trae’s ridic mostly for his floaters and passing - the chucking of three pointers is overstated - but yes improving the defensive skills should be lloyd’s biggest priority

Heez, Thursday, 16 January 2020 02:05 (six years ago)

yeah for some reason they got all their long off stretches in the first couple months, its pretty much a game every other day the entire rest of the way

ciderpress, Thursday, 16 January 2020 02:14 (six years ago)

das not great

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2020 02:15 (six years ago)

Mike Porter going off..

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 16 January 2020 02:46 (six years ago)

7/8 from the field in like 9 minutes

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 16 January 2020 02:49 (six years ago)

that jokic-murray pick and roll, with jokic as the hall handler, was so sick

k3vin k., Thursday, 16 January 2020 02:57 (six years ago)

feeling really good about MPJ. I feel like grant has been playing better the last few games too

k3vin k., Thursday, 16 January 2020 02:59 (six years ago)

porter prob wldve been in the discussion for the #1 pick w/o the back injury

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2020 03:00 (six years ago)

another ridiculous jokic-murray exchange wow

k3vin k., Thursday, 16 January 2020 03:01 (six years ago)

Murray rolls his ankle. Kind of a disastrous season for him so far. I haven’t given up on him but I’m sick of the inconsistency.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 16 January 2020 03:16 (six years ago)

Yeah Grant has started getting comfortable on defense and is making plays

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 16 January 2020 03:17 (six years ago)

I’m trying to remain optimistic about murray too but the production has not been great

k3vin k., Thursday, 16 January 2020 03:18 (six years ago)

gm kyrie

Kyrie Irving was asked after tonight’s loss to Philly about this game against a top East opponent showing how much work the Nets still have to do in order to compete at the highest level while waiting for Kevin Durant to return. Here’s Irving’s answer: pic.twitter.com/NAqA4OvQk2

5-9 with Kyrie

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 16 January 2020 04:00 (six years ago)

someone on twitter who obvs didnt watch him get beat backdoor twice a game for two years was just saying celtics wld be champ contenders if kyrie stayed

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2020 04:03 (six years ago)

kyrie is a fucking psycho man

its worse in sa. lonnie walker is a hoops poet who is like 10th in the rotation in his second season and is sitting behind bryn forbes who is a liability if he isn't shooting 50% from 3 (he usually isnt). they have a thin forward rotation and he has two rookie forwards playing all their time in austin. it is a frustrating year in sa.
