spurs have dominated milwaukee at home and boston on the road after looking like warmed over garbage most of the year. lamarcus turned into a regular (and good!) three point shooter, they more or less benched marco belinelli in favor of lonnie walker who is a much better defender and rapidly improving offensive talent, and demar derozan is picking an interesting time to stop missing bc he's shooting like 60% recently, its crazy.

i feel like when i consider the sequence of events that is

1. signing kevin love to a huge extension because you thought it would stabilize your franchise and increase his trade value
2. spending consecutive top 5 picks on two young point guards who don't pass and make kevin love hate basketball
3. hiring a college coach w/ no nba experience that everyone thinks is a clown, especially kevin love
4. being unable to trade kevin love because nobody wants to take on his contract
5. kevin love getting madder at the cavs by the day, further degrading his already nonexistent trade value

i have to conclude that kody altman is prob the worst GM in the NBA? and that's before you even get to dan gilbert

the college to nba coach thing seems to only work with youngsters on a rebuild and/or a very select few selfless stars. even brad was neutered by kyrie last year.
