I remember that game, Slam magazine mentioned it in like every issue for a few years

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 7 January 2020 06:12 (six years ago)

weird

Proof of the NBA’s dwindling middle class:

We’re almost halfway into the season, and only ONE team (OKC) is on pace for a win total in the 40s. Everyone else is pacing for 50-plus or 38-or-less.

nets have lost 7 in a row and still have the 8 seed with a 2.5 game advantage

championship winning vibration (Spottie), Wednesday, 8 January 2020 18:42 (six years ago)

they shd do that play in tournament but then at the end announce that none of them are allowed in the playoffs

lag∞n, Wednesday, 8 January 2020 18:43 (six years ago)

Giannis on pace to be the only player in NBA history to average 30 ppg without being in the top 50 minutes played

frogbs, Wednesday, 8 January 2020 18:48 (six years ago)

seems to be a trend for star players to have super high usage but play short minutes, lukas the same way

lag∞n, Wednesday, 8 January 2020 18:49 (six years ago)

makes sense let em do their thing but understand that its tiring

i could live another 300 years and still never be able to keep Bogdan Bogdanović and Bojan Bogdanović straight.

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Wednesday, 8 January 2020 21:08 (six years ago)

James Harden 11 turnovers in the first half. Record for a game is apparently 14?

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 11 January 2020 23:17 (six years ago)

He had 13 in a close out game vs the dubs that one time

lag∞n, Monday, 13 January 2020 22:37 (six years ago)

.......if only the pelicans had a superstar in the pipeline

lag∞n, Monday, 13 January 2020 22:38 (six years ago)

lag∞n, Monday, 13 January 2020 22:39 (six years ago)

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Monday, 13 January 2020 22:44 (six years ago)

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the first player in NBA history aged 21 or under to have a 20 point, 20 rebound, 10 assist game.

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Tuesday, 14 January 2020 03:25 (six years ago)

that is a LOT of rebounds for a guard

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 14 January 2020 03:32 (six years ago)

to be fair, the bigs in OKC have been trained to let guards get the rebounds.

EZ Snappin, Tuesday, 14 January 2020 03:36 (six years ago)

lmao

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 January 2020 04:45 (six years ago)

23/15/8 for kevin huerter who is finally healthy and finding his groove a bit

Don’t listen to charlatans that say the midrange game is dead. Star players still take them, role players have moved back to give more space.
Also, thresholds on hex plots can be abused to drive a narrative.

its really the long twos thatve fallen off a cliff, down by 50% in that chart, wldve expect the in between game to have increased feels like floaters are a bigger deal now but its pretty stable in those charts

he has the images in reverse chronological order there btw

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 January 2020 22:57 (six years ago)

yeah the long twos are the killer. funny to watch old iverson clips and hes doing step backs and pull ups with his heels basically on the 3p line multiple times per game it seems.

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 January 2020 23:00 (six years ago)

yeah no one gave a shit lol

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 January 2020 23:03 (six years ago)

For the first time ever, Gregg Popovich and the Spurs are avging 30+ 3-pt attempts this month, the last and final team in the NBA to cross that 30+ plateau.

pop welcome

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 January 2020 23:19 (six years ago)

btw noticed that harden takes a not that common shot all the time now, its an in between shot thats a runner rather than a floater like he doesnt stop to shoot it he takes it on the move, and hits it like crazy, sometimes its even kinda a half hook too, creative man

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 January 2020 23:25 (six years ago)

kg lived in that zone, but cld hit them

Was frustrating that he never really evolved beyond that. A lot like David Robinson.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 16 January 2020 00:37 (six years ago)

I never thought Aldridge would figure out 3s

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 16 January 2020 01:11 (six years ago)

lebron 19 pts 19 assists
luka 21-15-17

k3vin k., Thursday, 16 January 2020 10:54 (six years ago)

Luka 6 TOs & < 50% FG too

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Thursday, 16 January 2020 16:18 (six years ago)

six turnovers is fine when you have 19 assists

k3vin k., Thursday, 16 January 2020 17:38 (six years ago)

I only watched the first half and he didn’t really seem to have it going, looks like he played better in the second. he actually hasn’t looked as good since coming back from injury, wonder if something is lingering

k3vin k., Thursday, 16 January 2020 17:40 (six years ago)

expecting him to play how he did to start the season all the time is a lot

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2020 17:41 (six years ago)

shooting 31.7% from three on the season. his free throw rate and percentages look good. hovering around 60% true shooting. got to get that three percentage up to at least league average tho.

omg what did you type to find this gif? (Spottie), Thursday, 16 January 2020 17:43 (six years ago)

theres really not any reason for him to take such difficult 3s when he can get anywhere on the court he wants

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2020 17:45 (six years ago)

yeah there’s so many times where he takes a shot from 4 or 5 feet from behind the line when he’s already lost his defender beyond any hope

then again I feel like I read somewhere in the past couple years that NBA dudes don’t really lose too much accuracy taking deeper threes, but maybe I’m misremembering
