i for one never understood this trade. you already have a top 2 center and a $30 million PF. when is grant really going to be making an impact.

#Bulls coach Jim Boylen on his liberal use of timeouts early, sometimes at the expense of not having them late in games: "We practice to not have timeouts. I'm not in fear mode that we don't have timeouts, because we're prepared to not have them."

— Cody Westerlund (@CodyWesterlund) January 5, 2020

this guy kicks ass

J0rdan S., Sunday, 5 January 2020 04:50 (six years ago)

lmao

lag∞n, Sunday, 5 January 2020 05:04 (six years ago)

.....timeouts are nothing to me

lag∞n, Sunday, 5 January 2020 05:04 (six years ago)

I don’t believe in time outs I believe in “time ins”

Clay, Sunday, 5 January 2020 05:19 (six years ago)

the troops are prepared to survive without food. it does not matter that they are starving.

J0rdan S., Sunday, 5 January 2020 06:00 (six years ago)

Pelicans are only 3 games out of the playoffs and have by far the easiest remaining schedule of any Western Conference team.

Also... Zion.

theres 7 teams within those three games lol some of these teams need to decide if theyre tanking or not

championship winning vibration (Spottie), Sunday, 5 January 2020 06:03 (six years ago)

i wonder if the fact that nobody seems to like this draft is keeping some teams from picking that direction.

call all destroyer, Sunday, 5 January 2020 13:25 (six years ago)

Millsap is a zillion years old, probably not staying after this season and was the only true PF on the roster

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 5 January 2020 16:31 (six years ago)

It seems like long term MPJ is that guy but it made sense to hedge that bet

hard to feel bad for k love... he willingly signed a contract with the post-bron cavs, did he really think he wasn’t going to be playing on one of the worst teams in the NBA? did he think he’d be traded by now

perhaps it will work out longterm. but if i was the nuggets and i was gonna burn my first round pick in a trade i would’ve gone after someone i knew was going to be on the court for me in the final 5 mins of playoff games.

You don’t get guys like that for a late first rounder when your team is already deep

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 5 January 2020 19:18 (six years ago)

They traded a late first rounder for insurance if millsap gets injured. That sounds about right.

Portland gotta throw in some picks but it makes sense otherwise

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 5 January 2020 19:20 (six years ago)

i liked the grant trade feel like hes the type of guy the nugs need but he hasnt played too good so far

lag∞n, Sunday, 5 January 2020 19:21 (six years ago)

He’s gotta rebound better

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 5 January 2020 19:41 (six years ago)

Nuggets really needed a guy who could do the quickdunks and rim runs that Faried was so good at but it turns out Grant just takes 3s

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 5 January 2020 19:45 (six years ago)

yeah long athletic guy gotta do long athletic things

Addressing reporters for the first time since the Nets’ loss in Denver on Nov. 14, Irving said he’s doing better and recently received a cortisone shot for his right shoulder impingement. He also confirmed reports of having bursitis in his shoulder. Irving said he got the shot to put off having arthroscopic surgery but plans to see how his body responds before going that route.

Irving could still return to the court and see whether he’s able to play before opting for surgery. He didn’t provide a timeline for when he plans to decide.

“I’m in a better place now that it’s been some significant time,” Irving said. “I tried to go without any anti-inflammatories, which is why it took so long. Now I’m at a place where the next step was to either get a cortisone shot or get surgery. So that was the ultimatum I was fixed with. So now I’m just doing the best I can to live off this cortisone and move forward if I need surgery in the future.”

of course kyrie doesnt want to take anti-inflammatories for his inflammation

lag∞n, Sunday, 5 January 2020 21:21 (six years ago)

“I tried to go without any anti-inflammatories, which is why it took so long."

What a dumbshit. I know steroids are tough on your body and I feel bad for professional athletes who have difficulties later in life, but this is some flat earth nonsense.

An Oral History of Deez Nutz (PBKR), Sunday, 5 January 2020 22:01 (six years ago)

He’s an anti-vaxxer isn’t he

championship winning vibration (Spottie), Sunday, 5 January 2020 22:02 (six years ago)

NSAIDs have some side effects that can be pretty harsh. they can fuck up your kidneys. that's one reason why you aren't supposed to take NSAIDs for more than three days without seeing a physician. steroids have even worse side effects. Kyrie should be using them to assist his body to heal, but sparingly, as an adjunct to rest, ice, and other therapy.

A is for (Aimless), Sunday, 5 January 2020 22:13 (six years ago)

The issue with NSAIDs is that athletes exceed the dosage

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 5 January 2020 22:39 (six years ago)

it's probably easy to make a case against anti-inflammatories when you don't actually want to play this season.

championship winning vibration (Spottie), Monday, 6 January 2020 02:17 (six years ago)

people were making a big deal out of ratings being down this year and its like no shit, all those guys are injured + they bet like 50 national games on curry and zion and lost
