yeah mavs getting good so fast is putting them in danger of ending up in no mans land

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:42 (six years ago)

and theyre making their role players work right now but really those guys arent that good

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:42 (six years ago)

plus there's a decent chance porzingis doesn't play up to his contract which really puts some pressure on the next move.

call all destroyer, Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:44 (six years ago)

yeah, they dont have a lot of assets to flip. they already lost the 2019 pick getting luka. theyve got lots of good role player contracts, but that kristaps deal is pretty massive.

xp lol

peloton for the painfully alone (m bison), Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:44 (six years ago)

tim hardaway jr has an $18M player option for next year, have to think he takes it

peloton for the painfully alone (m bison), Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:45 (six years ago)

yeah zinger really needs to pan out

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:45 (six years ago)

3 way trade, cj to phil, horf to mavs, thj and seth curry to port that kinda works

peloton for the painfully alone (m bison), Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:48 (six years ago)

mavs next have cap space in the 2021 offseason and how that gets used is hugely important to them.

port getting hosed

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:51 (six years ago)

portland should tank and dump cj's salary

peloton for the painfully alone (m bison), Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:52 (six years ago)

still think a simple horford for cj solves a lot of problems! horford can play next to nurkic and stabilizes the awful blazers forward rotation. cj would be nasty on the sixers and fix some of the probs with their rotation.

call all destroyer, Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:54 (six years ago)

idk horf is pretty solidly a center imo, like mb he cld make big time at the 4 work but youre not getting the most out of him

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:57 (six years ago)

true i'm taking into account the fact that he doesn't seem to want to play his best position for the stretch run of his career. he'd still be better than any forward the blazers have.

call all destroyer, Saturday, 4 January 2020 03:58 (six years ago)

yeah that trade wld still be good for both teams

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:00 (six years ago)

i think there was a theory of it where it could have worked but it sure hasn't worked to this point.

their dreadful bench is a good indicator of GM malpractice tho.

i’m not sure i even agree... they made a huge bet that they could win playing 2 centers at once in today’s NBA. it runs counter to everything we’ve seen since the heatles. i was always skeptical of its viability.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:05 (six years ago)

really tho ben simmons being useless in the halfcourt is what undermines everything

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:06 (six years ago)

plenty of bullshit to go around, also they are awful on the road and v good at home

peloton for the painfully alone (m bison), Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:07 (six years ago)

you know whod be rly good on the sixers? jimmy butler

peloton for the painfully alone (m bison), Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:08 (six years ago)

lagoon otm. they play 3 centers not 2. i think embiid and horford could coexist with a more normal perimeter group but ben simmons is as set in his ways as ever.

call all destroyer, Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:08 (six years ago)

feel like brett brown's on his last year

peloton for the painfully alone (m bison), Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:08 (six years ago)

theyve got a ton of talent so they can win on any given night and prob really any given series i mean they came as close as you can to beating the eventual champs last year but they are also just unsound

tho their roster is much worst than last year so not sure if that really applies anymore

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:09 (six years ago)

xp some of the playoff projections have sixers/bucks as a second-round matchup which would portend major changes for the team on the losing side.

he was weirdly anonymous tho, too many guys needed the ball

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:10 (six years ago)

if i had to guess brett brown is nothing special but he's literally never had a normal team so it's tough to say.

call all destroyer, Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:11 (six years ago)

whiteside picks up the first 20-20 game of ... 2020

Clay, Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:17 (six years ago)

you know what they say...whiteside is 20-20

peloton for the painfully alone (m bison), Saturday, 4 January 2020 04:19 (six years ago)

Jimmy was anonymous until the playoffs when he showed his worth. At times the only guy who could manufacture a play

― call all destroyer, Friday, January 3, 2020 11:08 PM (yesterday)

this may be true but simmons was already on the team, and there's no real argument for wanting horford over simmons longterm. so to whatever extent horford makes simmons' life harder it's an unforced error by the front office.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 4 January 2020 06:20 (six years ago)

shd also be said horf is gonna be 37 by the end of this contract and philly offered him more-longer than anyone

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 January 2020 06:39 (six years ago)

I would take McCollum for Horford in a heartbeat.

Embiid
Harris
Richardson
McCollum
Simmons

feels a lot better to me and adds a shot creator, which they don't really have. Though

really tho ben simmons being useless in the halfcourt is what undermines everything

starting to feel like the truth.

An Oral History of Deez Nutz (PBKR), Saturday, 4 January 2020 14:01 (six years ago)

blazers are not doing mcc for horford in a million years guys sorry

Clay, Saturday, 4 January 2020 16:16 (six years ago)

Sixers are stuck with horford. Can’t see any way around it.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 4 January 2020 16:34 (six years ago)

far more likely that brand gets desperate and trades for chris paul

J0rdan S., Saturday, 4 January 2020 22:26 (six years ago)

oh that would be...some kind of perfect

peloton for the painfully alone (m bison), Saturday, 4 January 2020 22:33 (six years ago)

cp for simmons

championship winning vibration (Spottie), Saturday, 4 January 2020 22:39 (six years ago)

okc might could pull it off if they threw in a few of those 1RPs they're hoarding.

i for one never understood this trade. you already have a top 2 center and a $30 million PF. when is grant really going to be making an impact.

#Bulls coach Jim Boylen on his liberal use of timeouts early, sometimes at the expense of not having them late in games: "We practice to not have timeouts. I'm not in fear mode that we don't have timeouts, because we're prepared to not have them."
