yeah mavs getting good so fast is putting them in danger of ending up in no mans land

and theyre making their role players work right now but really those guys arent that good

plus there's a decent chance porzingis doesn't play up to his contract which really puts some pressure on the next move.

yeah, they dont have a lot of assets to flip. they already lost the 2019 pick getting luka. theyve got lots of good role player contracts, but that kristaps deal is pretty massive.

still think a simple horford for cj solves a lot of problems! horford can play next to nurkic and stabilizes the awful blazers forward rotation. cj would be nasty on the sixers and fix some of the probs with their rotation.

idk horf is pretty solidly a center imo, like mb he cld make big time at the 4 work but youre not getting the most out of him

true i'm taking into account the fact that he doesn't seem to want to play his best position for the stretch run of his career. he'd still be better than any forward the blazers have.

i think there was a theory of it where it could have worked but it sure hasn't worked to this point.

their dreadful bench is a good indicator of GM malpractice tho.

lagoon otm. they play 3 centers not 2. i think embiid and horford could coexist with a more normal perimeter group but ben simmons is as set in his ways as ever.

theyve got a ton of talent so they can win on any given night and prob really any given series i mean they came as close as you can to beating the eventual champs last year but they are also just unsound

tho their roster is much worst than last year so not sure if that really applies anymore

xp some of the playoff projections have sixers/bucks as a second-round matchup which would portend major changes for the team on the losing side.

this may be true but simmons was already on the team, and there's no real argument for wanting horford over simmons longterm. so to whatever extent horford makes simmons' life harder it's an unforced error by the front office.

shd also be said horf is gonna be 37 by the end of this contract and philly offered him more-longer than anyone

I would take McCollum for Horford in a heartbeat.

i for one never understood this trade. you already have a top 2 center and a $30 million PF. when is grant really going to be making an impact.
