Gordon Hayward tells reporters in Indy he didn’t break his nose, he’s got a headache, and will see how he feels Thursday morning.

They don’t play badly together from what I’ve seen and Rozier has been pretty darn good too

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 03:42 (six years ago)

The hawks are really bad.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 03:49 (six years ago)

Warriors v Knicks is underway. Did Las Vegas bother to set the spread?

good dunk

gbx, Thursday, 12 December 2019 04:38 (six years ago)

reminds me of those absurd dunks they'd let Kobe do in NBA Courtside where the game engine hadn't calculated the physics properly so he just magically elevates another foot

frogbs, Thursday, 12 December 2019 04:38 (six years ago)

the suns were so salty after that game they all left the court without doing the customary hugs and “good game” with the grizz

sknybrg, Thursday, 12 December 2019 04:42 (six years ago)

it really does from that first angle looks like he pushes himself up w his off arm or something but then no its just jumping xp

I would still rather have Zion than Ja but...

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 15:16 (six years ago)

Kinda bummed by this Lonzo season. I guess you can’t shoot this badly and get it done.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 15:44 (six years ago)

just saw yet another article about how hew rebuilding his shot

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:10 (six years ago)

He definitely changed the mechanics a lot. I feel like he’s completely focused on 3 pointers to his detriment.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:34 (six years ago)

its horrible and also an incredible story how he shoots like that cause his crazy dad made him shoot 3s when he was too small

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:38 (six years ago)

He should have given him the Maravich pistol technique

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:44 (six years ago)

Maravich somehow just switched to a normal jumper when he got strong enough tho

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:45 (six years ago)

yeah its fn weird he just kept shooting like that

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:50 (six years ago)

not to mention that the easiest way for kids to hoist is just from over the shoulder

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:51 (six years ago)

He definitely changed the mechanics a lot. I feel like he’s completely focused on 3 pointers to his detriment.

― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, December 12, 2019 9:34 AM (thirty-one minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

he should take the ben simmons approach to 3s.

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Thursday, 12 December 2019 17:07 (six years ago)

imo the question for lonzo is can he learn how to play meaningfully w/in a halfcourt offense while off the ball? bcuz as long as the pels have ingram and zion and jrue, he's never going to be handling the ball much. if he can't ever shoot then it's a huge problem because then he's basically like late career rondo if he's ever on the court w/ the team's three other best players. personally i still think he needs to get to a team that has minutes to give to a ball dominant guard, prob as a sixth man, so that he can properly start to develop his game. he needs to find his oladipo in indiana or whatever. i can still envision him as like... jamal crawford/lou williams level impact in the style of jason kidd's game. but in new orleans that's not gonna happen and i feel like he might just flame out of the nba.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 12 December 2019 17:38 (six years ago)

It’s hard for me to imagine that he can’t hack it with his defense, passing and size. Ricky Rubio figured it out (and was a net positive from the jump).

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 17:42 (six years ago)

yeah but rubio's teams put the ball in his hands from the jump. that's why i think lonzo needs a new team. the problem is you start going down the list of even the bad teams and it's hard to find a place that has no other guards it wants to develop. i feel like the lavar in the no 1 media market aspect might make it untenable, but the knicks would be a great place for him to land.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 12 December 2019 18:06 (six years ago)

yikes yeah

k3vin k., Thursday, 12 December 2019 19:30 (six years ago)

Lonzo on the Knicks would be perfect. This has to happen.

btw where are the trades we need trades

We're now at 149 days and counting since our last finalized NBA trade (completed July 16). Aside from lockouts in 1998 and 2011, that's the longest trade-free stretch since the ABA-NBA merger according to my analysis of the ProSportsTransactions archive (https://t.co/8QScAbB09s).

i feel it, once you can trade newly signed players, and there were so many players signing new deals last summer
