jimmy one of the weirdest guys in the league

lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 21:21 (four years ago) link

the heat are really so good for him bcuz they only like young players who are "gym rats" so now he has no one to yell at

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 10 December 2019 21:31 (four years ago) link

yeah the 'heat culture' is really all he ever wanted

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Tuesday, 10 December 2019 21:43 (four years ago) link

perfect fit

lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 21:52 (four years ago) link

Riley is the perfect exec to handle Jimmy, figure at some point he'll take him aside and suggest he's "demonstrating a failure to show appreciation".

omar little, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 22:14 (four years ago) link

yeah like there was a franchise out there already self-selecting for "players who could reasonably get along with jimmy butler", good for jimmy (and the heat) that he found it

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 10 December 2019 23:44 (four years ago) link

why is justice winslow always hurt

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Wednesday, 11 December 2019 00:05 (four years ago) link

I don’t think Rui Hachimura is gonna be good.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 11 December 2019 00:28 (four years ago) link

someone should probably let jokic know that the game has started

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 11 December 2019 01:55 (four years ago) link

Lol, Jokic just did a toreador on a pass.

Mazzy Tsar (PBKR), Wednesday, 11 December 2019 02:02 (four years ago) link

Jokic’s defense has been so good this game. Kind of hilariously so

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 11 December 2019 02:12 (four years ago) link

They need to play MPJ 20 minutes a game. His good-case scenario is just too perfect for what they need and they need to give it every chance.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 11 December 2019 03:03 (four years ago) link

Classic Whiteside statpadding game here

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 11 December 2019 04:04 (four years ago) link

if the celtics lose this game i will remember jayson tatum committing 3 turnovers in 4 possessions to start the 4th quarter

call all destroyer, Thursday, 12 December 2019 01:53 (four years ago) link

if they want to have groups out there with one starter and four reserves it needs to be brown or hayward. tatum can't do it right now.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 12 December 2019 01:58 (four years ago) link

fucking doug mcdermott just did a martial arts palm strike into gordon hayward's nose

call all destroyer, Thursday, 12 December 2019 02:03 (four years ago) link

smh wite on wite crime

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2019 02:40 (four years ago) link

the sorting of 2-6 in the east is gonna be very interesting

J0rdan S., Thursday, 12 December 2019 03:02 (four years ago) link

cld see the raps getting dropped by the pack and pacers staying in the mix if they can find some health

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2019 03:04 (four years ago) link

Gordon Hayward tells reporters in Indy he didn’t break his nose, he’s got a headache, and will see how he feels Thursday morning.

They don’t play badly together from what I’ve seen and Rozier has been pretty darn good too

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 03:42 (four years ago) link

The hawks are really bad.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 03:49 (four years ago) link

Warriors v Knicks is underway. Did Las Vegas bother to set the spread?

A is for (Aimless), Thursday, 12 December 2019 03:59 (four years ago) link

Ja Morant is a bad boy!

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Thursday, 12 December 2019 04:23 (four years ago) link

dubs are shooting 32% against the mighty knicks

good dunk

gbx, Thursday, 12 December 2019 04:38 (four years ago) link

reminds me of those absurd dunks they'd let Kobe do in NBA Courtside where the game engine hadn't calculated the physics properly so he just magically elevates another foot

frogbs, Thursday, 12 December 2019 04:38 (four years ago) link

the suns were so salty after that game they all left the court without doing the customary hugs and “good game” with the grizz

sknybrg, Thursday, 12 December 2019 04:42 (four years ago) link

it really does from that first angle looks like he pushes himself up w his off arm or something but then no its just jumping xp

I would still rather have Zion than Ja but...

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 15:16 (four years ago) link

Kinda bummed by this Lonzo season. I guess you can’t shoot this badly and get it done.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 15:44 (four years ago) link

just saw yet another article about how hew rebuilding his shot

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:10 (four years ago) link

He definitely changed the mechanics a lot. I feel like he’s completely focused on 3 pointers to his detriment.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:34 (four years ago) link

its horrible and also an incredible story how he shoots like that cause his crazy dad made him shoot 3s when he was too small

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:38 (four years ago) link

He should have given him the Maravich pistol technique

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:44 (four years ago) link

Maravich somehow just switched to a normal jumper when he got strong enough tho

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:45 (four years ago) link

yeah its fn weird he just kept shooting like that

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:50 (four years ago) link

not to mention that the easiest way for kids to hoist is just from over the shoulder

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:51 (four years ago) link

He definitely changed the mechanics a lot. I feel like he’s completely focused on 3 pointers to his detriment.

― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, December 12, 2019 9:34 AM (thirty-one minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

he should take the ben simmons approach to 3s.

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Thursday, 12 December 2019 17:07 (four years ago) link

imo the question for lonzo is can he learn how to play meaningfully w/in a halfcourt offense while off the ball? bcuz as long as the pels have ingram and zion and jrue, he's never going to be handling the ball much. if he can't ever shoot then it's a huge problem because then he's basically like late career rondo if he's ever on the court w/ the team's three other best players. personally i still think he needs to get to a team that has minutes to give to a ball dominant guard, prob as a sixth man, so that he can properly start to develop his game. he needs to find his oladipo in indiana or whatever. i can still envision him as like... jamal crawford/lou williams level impact in the style of jason kidd's game. but in new orleans that's not gonna happen and i feel like he might just flame out of the nba.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 12 December 2019 17:38 (four years ago) link

It’s hard for me to imagine that he can’t hack it with his defense, passing and size. Ricky Rubio figured it out (and was a net positive from the jump).
