he'd be the perfect upgrade to ingles but they can't trade ingles this year and there's no other way to make the money work
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:24 (six years ago)
plus with love's injury history, tho i guess that's a gamble with gallo too xp
― Clay, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:24 (six years ago)
bogdanovic + exum works xp
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:25 (six years ago)
i really think it's underrated mismanagement that the cavs blew back to back top 5 picks on point guards.. feel like ultimately you really need wings and/or a star big to win in the NBA, and picking sexton/garland is such a poor allocation of your best resources. i really can't even envision what that backcourt is supposed to look like even in the best scenario... a far less dynamic version of john wall and brad beal?
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:26 (six years ago)
bogdanovic has been like their best player tho
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:26 (six years ago)
ingles cn be traded later this year fwiw
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:26 (six years ago)
saying that the jazz would trade for love is reverse racism
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:27 (six years ago)
one of the best kinds of racism
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:28 (six years ago)
sexton is just getting lit up by every celtic tonight btw hes gotta be one of the worst defenders
i don't think ingles can be traded until april 2020 so not this season
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:30 (six years ago)
tradenba.com says Joe Ingles cannot be traded because 3 months have not passed since he was signed. He will be eligible to be traded after January 19th.
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:32 (six years ago)
interesting. espn trade machine has it as 6 months. i'm reading cba faq and am leaning toward the 3 months interpretation.
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:35 (six years ago)
which is weird cause arent newly signed players eligible for trade on dec 15
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:36 (six years ago)
guess theres diff rules for extensions tho who knows why
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:37 (six years ago)
yeah. it's either three or six months from the date he extended which was 10/21. different rules for extensions for reasons i am not clear on.
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:41 (six years ago)
from what i can tell the six-month restriction would only apply to a 4+ year extension where ingles only extended for a year....
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:43 (six years ago)
ah there u go
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:44 (six years ago)
i just asked danny leroux on twitter b/c now i am very invested in this trivial question for a team i don't even like.
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:45 (six years ago)
lmao
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:46 (six years ago)
i don't know that we have recent proof that a star big is enough to win in the nba without wings
― ciderpress, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:48 (six years ago)
lol

― lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:51 (six years ago)
he should play for sac
― ciderpress, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:51 (six years ago)
Love would feel at home in Sacramento - as a place to live. He might even like playing with that team, since it is on one of its periodic upticks that happen just before a couple of its newly cultivated stars turn UFA and head out of town.
― A is for (Aimless), Tuesday, 10 December 2019 02:56 (six years ago)
marc gasol is good at defense, in my opinion
― jesus is zing (symsymsym), Tuesday, 10 December 2019 03:21 (six years ago)
hahah bjelica sinks the rockets with a deep 3 at the buzzer
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 03:30 (six years ago)
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 04:15 (six years ago)
I honestly don’t know if Love is a better player than Ingles at this point and even if he was Ingles offers totally different things. But I guess they are desperate
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 04:38 (six years ago)
So, you're saying Love wouldn't even feel at home in the home he grew up in? Because that's just a few miles from where I live and it isn't LA.
― A is for (Aimless), Tuesday, 10 December 2019 04:41 (six years ago)
Even if he wants to go back to Oregon that ain’t Sacto
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 04:44 (six years ago)
Oregon ain't Sacto. Oregon ain't LA, either. But Sacto is a mid-sized west coast city with a culture somewhat similar to Portland. It might not be his first choice, but he'd adjust pretty fast.
― A is for (Aimless), Tuesday, 10 December 2019 04:51 (six years ago)
bjelica buzzer beater was v nice
― Clay, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 04:51 (six years ago)
sacto is .... not very much like portland
― Clay, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 04:52 (six years ago)
Not very much like Portland, sure but it would be hard to find any NBA city that closely replicates Portland. Most of them are a lot bigger. The smaller ones are places like SLC, Charlotte, San Antonio, OKC, or Minneapolis. Sacto is a closer fit than most.
― A is for (Aimless), Tuesday, 10 December 2019 04:59 (six years ago)
You think there’s dozens of suicide girls across Sacramento strip clubs? 5 at most.
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 05:00 (six years ago)
You're right. I plum left that out of my calculations.
― A is for (Aimless), Tuesday, 10 December 2019 05:01 (six years ago)
what's sacramento's food carts per capita numbers looking like these days
― Clay, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 05:02 (six years ago)
I still don’t understand why Jonas Valanciunas isn’t just accepted as a good player. Like what am I missing
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 05:10 (six years ago)
i thought he was considered pretty good on Toronto but no clue what he's up to now
― ciderpress, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 05:16 (six years ago)
we're on like year 10 of matt asking why some lumbering big man doesn't play more
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 10 December 2019 05:25 (six years ago)
He plays 25 minutes a game every year! Like why not 10 more minutes?
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 05:30 (six years ago)
always thought he was a defensive liability with the raps. he's a good post scorer for sure.
― jesus is zing (symsymsym), Tuesday, 10 December 2019 05:33 (six years ago)
Ja Morant might be the most fun guy to watch in the nba rn

Wow Dunn’s lack of shooting painfully obvious there. It looked like a fine play up until he came around the 3 pt line unwilling to shoot.
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 06:59 (six years ago)
lavine missed that pass out of the double team that really ended any chance of a productive play. not the first time
― k3vin k., Tuesday, 10 December 2019 10:44 (six years ago)
if jonas valancunius played 10 more minutes he’s be like 10th in the league in minutes and first among centers.
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 12:27 (six years ago)
It just seems like he’s an unusually productive starter who never gets 30 mpg
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 14:36 (six years ago)
if only there were some years long trends we could point to in order to explain why a center's minutes are being depressed
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 10 December 2019 16:28 (six years ago)
yeah i mean if youre looking for someone who can switch on the perimeter jonas is not yr guy
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 16:35 (six years ago)
Then why play him at all
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 16:54 (six years ago)
