I saw 11/38 with 4/20 downtown and yet 50 pts and muttered “fuck” aloud and my wife thought I’d just heard some bad news.

lonnie was a 5 star top 15 recruit who was pretty good his one year in college. i think he fell in the draft because he’s had some minor knee issues but it was a steal for the spurs. he’s gonna be better than guys like jerome robinson, troy brown jr, zhaire smith, devencenzo who were taken immediately before him.

he's an awkward fit in the starting lineup bc he still cant shoot and aldridge and derozan dont spread the floor. they also slow the game down and dejounte is most deadly on the fastbreak because of his speed. he had some rough games and seemed to lose confidence and assertiveness. his best minutes tonight were running with lonnie on the break.

Whiteside is probably planning to do his contract push entirely in the last month if the season but that doesn’t really work if your team misses the playoff because of how you played the other months

It seems like he’s lost all the offseason weight and his defense has actually been good. He isn’t doing insane frustration fouls as much and is hustling. But he just seems so depressed
