they’ve had a really tough schedule and have gotten unlucky in close games

wonder if theyll even make any trades they already have a ton of picks maybe dont want to bottom out, considering they wont get much for any of their guys

It’s a very interesting situation because they probably have the strongest collection of future picks ever so it seems like they need to trade for somewhat established players instead. But what gallo deal would be that? Portland desperately needs a guy like gallo but doesn’t have anyone on the roster to offer. Denver could have used him but they went with Grant instead.

lots of teams are interested im sure but i dont see anyone giving up more than a late first and some not good player

seems like keeping a vaguely competitive team on the floor might be worth more to them but who knows maybe some champ pretender makes them a nice offer for one of those guys its not impossible

not even close. gallo is expiring and cheaper than both. adams looks not great this year. chris pauls contract makes him completely untradable, plenty of teams would want him but not for 38M, 42M and 44M over the next three. i mean someone might get REALLY desperate between now and the deadline but i dont see it.

I'm on record as being skeptical of the whole tanking strategy, not just for Portland this season, but any time for any team. Not every team's fans are going to be as willing as sixer fans to cheerfully participate in a deliberate multi-season train wreck, and it demoralizes the players and coaches too.

I watched most of the second-half of that Raptors-Sixers game last night...Embiid was 0-11 from the field (0-4 on 3s), 0-3 from the line--zero points in 32 minutes. That must be some kind of record for a player of that stature.

Still only a casual fan, but the Raptors are so fun to watch when I do tune in. VanVleet, Siakam, and a bunch of new guys off the bench I've never heard of--something's always happening, and they're still winning with these injuries.

Siakim and FVV have both made a leap its great to see.
