What I like about harden is that he cares about the regular season.

i just find it kinda fun that he plays every game and tries to put up insane numbers. i dont much like it in the basketball aesthetic sense cos i dont care for his style of play... and obv he hasnt gotten it to work all the way to a championship. But we are in a time when the reg season means less and less every year and he is still out there suiting up and dropping 40/10/10 on the regular. and as a junky who loves to watch regular season games, i appreciate it. one of the worst things to happen to the nba on many levels was the warriors going 73-9 and not winning the chip. they got clowned and now the regular season means even less. that season was so fun because they were trying to win every game like it was a playoff game., and everyone wanted to take them down.

Right they needed a center. And as bobby knight famously told them “play Jordan at center”

Everyone is acting like the regular season doesn’t matter but I feel like in the western conference it’s never mattered more

yes it matters but the teams at the top are more concerned with being right for the playoffs.

like kawhi is still gonna sit a bunch of games. jokic came in 30lbs overweight and checked out. all the load management headlines dominating is a bad look for casuals. dubs for the last two seasons basically saying out loud it doesnt matter. ratings are WAY down this year.

since russ got the mvp, regular season real greatness means less. numbers are inflated.

yeah otm league gotta do something to shape up the regular season xp

go down to 58 games and stop calling quite so many fouls imo

+widen the court/move the 3pt line out

eliminate back to backs would be huge. you could do that and trim the season by like less than 10 games.

im not really sure what the number is to make each game count its prob lower than 58 but yeah eliminating back2backs wld be huge

also, just a thought but maybe the refs should call the game the same for regular season and playoffs.

I honestly like this era of 82 games but with most top players playing under 35mpg. Don’t really desire a change. But ratings are down and I’m sure they’re debating doing something.

35mpg x 80 is still a lot more time in which for injuries to happen than 38mpg x 60 or whatever
