I was watching a hawks game earlier this year (on edibles) and it made sense to me why you gotta keep taking chances on Jabari. Guy was born to score!

i'm not sure jabari really wants his game to be held up to scrutiny but he's at least salvaged his career

jokic is out of shape and not playing well but it’s a testament to his ability that he’s still out there doing a lot of stuff to help the team. (he’s in the top 15 in deflections, iirc.) the nuggets would be in rough shape without him because the bench has been so bad

Perhaps, but they do care about your advancing or being eliminated, and a team's seed placement has a direct bearing on that. A potential fourth seed that falls to seventh or eighth is more likely to be eliminated in round one than if they played up to their potential seed.

I do think the story of Jokic’s season last year was that he’s just a different dude in the playoffs

yeah Bulls were making a game of it by hitting nearly every open 3 but Milwaukee went on one of those quick 10-0 runs and that was that

Bulls mgmt is all about "character guys" which sure yeah sounds great but has resulted in rosters full of guys your mom would love but are too meek to ball out in NBA. Every once in a while they try to balance that out by getting irrational confidence chuckers. Great mix, GarPax, keep it up.
