gsw should trade dlo asap before he demonstrates how little he moves the needle

all the other playoff contending teams in the west are happy enough to see gsw tanking. it's a tough world out there.

its v good for 19-20, imo teams on the bubble should make some short-term trades to take advantage of this window. i fully expect gsw to be contenders again next year.

they might contend, returning to dominating status will take a lot

best path forward seems to be moving dlo and whatever pick they get for a bunch of guys and hope their core keeps performing/stays healthy

worst case scenario their pick isnt that good dlo becomes unmovable and they cant stay healthy

im not sure if i see that this a bad turn of events for russell's trade value... he's gonna have his hands on the ball every possession and score 1 million ppg. i don't think any team that already liked his game is gonna find much to dissuade themselves if the offense has to fully orbit around him. i don't think losing a bunch of games w/ a glorified d league roster is gonna matter too much.

if it's true that the wolves are hell bent on getting russell bcuz him and KAT are bffs, the warriors could pick up guys who could actually help them next year. covington would be perfect for them as an igoudala facsimile, and they could def use guys like okogie and layman. culver doesn't look impressive at all really but maybe that looks diff at the end of the season. wolves would prob need to send a pick back or w/e but i think the warriors will be able to figure a trade out.

i feel like russell will end up on a team like the charlotte, orlando, detroit, etc the usual suspects that would otherwise never be able to sign another team's young star to a max deal

it's hard to find a good team that could use him or would have an incredibly compelling case to acquire him aside from the t wolves

this is true. and they are going to be paying through the roof more and more every year. one more bad injury or a steep decline by any of the main dudes could be it. gonna need some luck on their side and hope they can still attract the right cheap free agents plus land on some random draft picks. will be fascinating to see how it unfolds over the next 3-4 seasons. if it goes down in flames then it was a sweet run
