dlo seems like a fine test subject to see how he plays with a normal scoring guard

(still got d'angelo fwiw)

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Thursday, 31 October 2019 15:14 (six years ago)

Fitting that last night was Jim Barnett’s last tv broadcast as they inexplicably shift him to radio

problem is the team is just awful now for the true test he needs to be on detroit or orlando

lag∞n, Thursday, 31 October 2019 15:31 (six years ago)

tho things werent going well w the 3 allstar team

lag∞n, Thursday, 31 October 2019 15:34 (six years ago)

thinking about that new arena...

ciderpress, Thursday, 31 October 2019 15:37 (six years ago)

3 on 5 is hard. But Yah this is just sad.

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Thursday, 31 October 2019 15:38 (six years ago)

OG anunoby looks like Pacers Artest and Siakam looks like the best power forward in the East.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 31 October 2019 15:50 (six years ago)

if siakam continues on this trajectory hell be the best player ever in two years

lag∞n, Thursday, 31 October 2019 16:06 (six years ago)

seems likely

ciderpress, Thursday, 31 October 2019 16:08 (six years ago)

While you were partying, he studied the blade.

The blade is Kawhi ofc

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Thursday, 31 October 2019 16:17 (six years ago)

i feel like the kings had smoke blown up their asses all offseason for showing the bare minimum of competence despite essentially accomplishing nothing (9th seed but 9 games behind no 8), and just came into this season thinking they could show up and compete for the playoffs, without remembering that they're the kings and such things should not be taken for granted

J0rdan S., Thursday, 31 October 2019 17:15 (six years ago)

seemed like they could get to 42-44 wins with improved depth and development but that looks like it's out the window

call all destroyer, Thursday, 31 October 2019 17:37 (six years ago)

walton might be bad

lag∞n, Thursday, 31 October 2019 17:42 (six years ago)

yup

call all destroyer, Thursday, 31 October 2019 18:07 (six years ago)

They’re 0-5 and 3 were to teams that they obviously weren’t going to be better than. The Suns are playing well right now and so are the hornets.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 31 October 2019 18:47 (six years ago)

The West being so stacked makes margins super thin

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 31 October 2019 18:47 (six years ago)

First week in the NBA has been very very dramatic!

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Thursday, 31 October 2019 18:49 (six years ago)

And none of the drama was related to China being in a snit.

A is for (Aimless), Thursday, 31 October 2019 18:54 (six years ago)

People are saying we need to get rid of the charge because steph fell down

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 31 October 2019 20:48 (six years ago)

Personally I think when players are coming towards you it’s ok to stand

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 31 October 2019 20:49 (six years ago)

id prefer if the charge circle was expanded to meet the sides of the key tbh

micah, Thursday, 31 October 2019 20:53 (six years ago)

I think it’s crazy to say baynes did something that is dirty or can be taken out of the game. If he’s looking at a much quicker guy coming straight at him the only options are standing still or tackling him.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 31 October 2019 21:32 (six years ago)

i dont think baynes did anything dirty. but the charge rules as currently enforced encourage defenders to slide under players in mid air, which is bad. kds original foot injury happened in a similar cirumstance for instance.

ftr this is the only rule id change to benefit offensive players. elsewhere id like to see a return to the old interpretation of offensive fouls when the shooter creates contact ala

not been very impressed with de’andre hunter tbh. physically he doesn’t seem ready and that was one of his more positive traits in college.

J0rdan S., Friday, 1 November 2019 00:00 (six years ago)

tyler herro is nasty

J0rdan S., Friday, 1 November 2019 00:03 (six years ago)

... And as Kevin Harlan notes, Nunn's 108 points in first 5 games is most by any undrafted player in NBA history. And still 16 plus minutes left tonight.

J0rdan S., Friday, 1 November 2019 00:58 (six years ago)

if jabari parker gets more in shape i could see a playoff team taking a chance on him at the deadline

J0rdan S., Friday, 1 November 2019 01:34 (six years ago)

He’s been a nice surprise so far

Heez, Friday, 1 November 2019 01:36 (six years ago)

i heard that atlanta is using him more as a roll man which actually makes a lot of sense

call all destroyer, Friday, 1 November 2019 01:39 (six years ago)

the hawks have done some nice things with their role players, and trae and john collins both look like the truth. but reddish and hunter look multiple years away from contributing offensively to me.

J0rdan S., Friday, 1 November 2019 01:46 (six years ago)

eh i haven't watched the game but it looks like hunter had a bad night. previous to the last two games, he's been very smooth offensively. surprisingly so. Reddish's competence on defense has been the thing that's stuck out for me so far.

Heez, Friday, 1 November 2019 01:51 (six years ago)

never like it when teams talk themselves into the mature low celling high floor guys at the top of the lottery re hunter, u gotta be swinging for the fences there, reddish taken lower makes more sense at least hes tall and can shoot

lag∞n, Friday, 1 November 2019 01:53 (six years ago)

also taking someone whos stock went way up in the tourney is dicey

lag∞n, Friday, 1 November 2019 01:56 (six years ago)

i imagine the thinking was more along the lines of "we're building around a guy who's a sieve defensively so why not pair him with a defensive stud." not saying it was the right call, but i think it depends on how far along you see them in the rebuilding process

Heez, Friday, 1 November 2019 01:59 (six years ago)

how did Bembry look? i love that dude

Heez, Friday, 1 November 2019 02:05 (six years ago)

i've loved what i've seen of bembry so far this season. great energy.

call all destroyer, Friday, 1 November 2019 02:11 (six years ago)

If he can start finishing around the basket a little more consistently he could really be something

Heez, Friday, 1 November 2019 02:19 (six years ago)

he def seems like a back up guard or sixth man (at best) to me, but for a back up PG he's actually pretty athletic. if he can develop a 3 point shot i could see him being a vanvleet type player

J0rdan S., Friday, 1 November 2019 03:13 (six years ago)

there's like a negative chance that hunter doesn't turn into a really good defender. but his offensive game is really going to need to develop to justify trading up to pick him fourth.

cam reddish has been a complete disaster, he shouldn't be starting or perhaps even playing

J0rdan S., Friday, 1 November 2019 03:18 (six years ago)

nuggets getting rolled by the trio of brandon ingram, jhalil okafor and frank jackson... letting duke flourish should count as 2 losses

J0rdan S., Friday, 1 November 2019 03:51 (six years ago)
