Royce White: one of the great MN prep ballers ever, went to the U of M with Tubby Smith, was weird and then stole a laptop from a dorm room. then went to Iowa State had one great session under Fred "The Mayor" Hoiberg, ended up on the Rockets (?) I think but then said he was afraid of flying and wanted to take buses to games, don't know where he's at now

really weird he was never a Wolf because he had that weirdo Wolves draft pick energy

he plays in the big 3 now. yeah says he had major anxiety about flying so would only bus and i dont think he ever played an NBA minute

he was the #1 overall pick in the Big 3!

honestly probably a big reason Hoiberg ever got a look as an NBA coach

White was a "bust" but because he was so open about his anxiety disorder there were a bunch of think-pieces when he was drafted that probably had some role in paving the way for other players with mental health issues to come forward in recent years - Kevin Love, DeRozan.

you might be right. like i said i don't remember the details. my point was just that since there seems to be a deeper sensitivity around mental health issues with players in 2019 (for example the commissioner is out there talking about it), he would have stood a better chance today than he did 7 years ago.
