The two backcourt members closed the curtains on their Hall-of-Fame careers this decade, but entered it as the best at their position. i never know what criteria is being used for these exercises (so ultimately i don't care much about them) but yeah that one seems pretty obvious to me if you're just trying to tell the story of the decade in 15 players.

breaking the league down over five year stretches makes way sense to me as an exercise than ten (i.e. Kobe seems way out of place here to me next to Giannis)

LMA surprised me too, but he made 5 all-NBA teams during the decade and really was a top-level contributor for every year this decade, which you can't say about a lot of these fellas.

Klay belongs on this list. Melo and Kobe do not.
