for better or worse this is the team they are rolling with for the next few years

they shd really just trade simmons, he has mvp potential at center, its not right to use him how they do

i'm a firm believer that if one team would offer a guy the max it means he's a max player, but this one is uncomfortable

his ceiling is like if draymond cld finish around the basket and instead of being undersized was 7ft tall

is he a center though, it's a little bit of a y/n, like there are plenty of situations where he would be unplayable as a defensive 5.

this is a completely insane stance, hes very large and is already a great defender despite being young

he's listed at 6'10", 230, and doesn't seem to exactly relish contact. there's a lot of guys who would be happy to take him in the post.

he's a super good perimeter defender but that's not the full job description

theres plenty room to bulk up on his frame, no one posts up anymore, like half the center minutes in the league go to guys smaller than that

w his quickness/feel hed be a great rim protector/help defender/perimeter switcher

and then his ability to grab and go in transition becomes that much more valuable when hes playing center ie gives u a ball handler at a position where u dont usually have one

idk i think he could play situational 5 but he can't be there full time. he'd be a good defensive 5 in the same way kevon looney is, but looney's making $5M to come off the bench. he's just a really weird player.

kemba is going to connect so well w/fans here partially by being a good dude but mostly by reverse halo effect or whatever one would call it.

theyre def going to but i believe they cld be traded for each other now as theyre both still on their rookie deals, simmons new one doesnt kick in til next year

I like most of the ringer basketball pods but the one on fridays with kevin o’connor and jonathan tjarks and the other guy is usually good

agree. Chris Ryan is usually pretty good whenever he pops up. I don't listen to The Mismatch though because Chris Vernon deeply sucks (or at least he did the few times I gave it a shot, maybe he's gotten better).

Lowe on ESPN is still the best though.

I've been enjoying O'Connor's staunch defence of the Knicks' trade policy.

i can't do anything with vernon. he's awful.

the only guys at the ringer whose opinions i mildly respect are KOC, devine, and verrier. as a result i don't listen to many of those pods.
