garland was a five-star recruit, number 2 PG in his class (behind Tre Jones). Kyrie was the #1 overall player, but still, Garland was a hugely hyped recruit.

my point was that he was #16 in his class, played 4-5 games of competitive basketball, and now he seems to be trending towards being the consensus #4. like, Coby White made a similar leap, but at least he balled out for an entire season.

it's a combination of a weak-ish class past #3 and lots of teams needing PG help. i'd take white over him personally, but i'm not an nba scout.

whether youre the 3 or 15 rated guy on rivals isnt that relevant to the nba really, nbas gonna make its own judgements
