absolutely, that last year is a player option which batum would be foolish to opt out of

hollow your fart (m bison), Monday, 17 June 2019 15:09 (seven years ago)

they're picking 12th too, and idk if there's a donovan mitchell lurking in this year's late lottery

old cloud yells at man (voodoo chili), Monday, 17 June 2019 15:10 (seven years ago)

there are always a couple of players that can be p special in the middle of the first round

hollow your fart (m bison), Monday, 17 June 2019 15:12 (seven years ago)

in retrospect, Charlotte definitely should have moved Kemba sometime in the past year when he was still fantastically underpaid and they could've maybe gotten some picks or young guys in return. the fact that they didn't would seem to suggest they are going to offer him the supermax, unless they just never thought he was going to qualify for it and now that his price tag has gotten even more exorbitant, they're going to back off. either way, I think sadly their best bet now is just to let him walk and start trying to rebuild from the ground up. they're constrained for a year or two more by these other bad deals but if they re-sign Kemba I don't see any path to them even getting into the top 4 or 5 of the East in that timeframe anyway, plus if Kemba got seriously hurt or just declined they'd have to hold off rebuilding even longer.

yeah, i can see that. rip the band-aid off.

but its mj the exec so theyre not gonna do good shit.

hollow your fart (m bison), Monday, 17 June 2019 15:21 (seven years ago)

xpost -- def true about missed opportunities, in four of the last five drafts Charlotte could have easily walked away with SGA, Mitchell, Myles Turner or Devin Booker, and Nurkic.

"CP3 just doesn't let anything go. He just keeps pestering and pestering.... Sometimes J has had enough -- and not just him. That's what makes CP3 a winner and also what keeps him from being a big-time winner. He's got to temper that."

big city slam (Spottie), Monday, 17 June 2019 15:39 (seven years ago)

"Chris wants to coach James," says a source familiar with the stars' dynamic. "James looks at him like, 'You can't even beat your man. Just shut up and watch me.'"

According to sources, Paul was also frustrated by what he perceived as Harden's tendency to ignore unglamorous details that impact winning -- such as moving when he gives up the ball to help spacing -- and wasn't shy about expressing those concerns.

big city slam (Spottie), Monday, 17 June 2019 15:42 (seven years ago)

...theyre both right lol

i think jeremy lamb was their 2nd best player last season and he's a FA.

big city slam (Spottie), Monday, 17 June 2019 17:38 (seven years ago)

i think malik monk is a lost cause too. bridges could be good tho. but the outlook on the rest of that roster is dire.

in my long decades of seeing images of victorious athletes celebrating with champagne, their interactions with the noble beverage never rises above the level of barbarity

fondly remembering bullying kwame brown out of the league

lag∞n, Monday, 17 June 2019 17:52 (seven years ago)

CPS really IS going to be a fantastically shitty coach some day though. like all the worst parts of Skiles, Kidd, and Thibs blended together.

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Monday, 17 June 2019 18:02 (seven years ago)

CP3 I meant.

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Monday, 17 June 2019 18:02 (seven years ago)

CPS = Coach Paul Shitty

(•̪●) (carne asada), Monday, 17 June 2019 20:56 (seven years ago)

it was just nice to have a centralized location w/ links, and for once reddit's upvote system actually fit the system well because the good streams would float to the top

fwiw it's pretty easy to search twitter for streams, just not sure how uh 'safe' that is

frogbs, Monday, 17 June 2019 21:02 (seven years ago)

it will all be on the Discord now as well

(•̪●) (carne asada), Monday, 17 June 2019 21:03 (seven years ago)

even better was the boo'ing ford got when they announced him on stage.

Mad Piratical (The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall), Monday, 17 June 2019 21:06 (seven years ago)

theres no way the rockets can keep CP now that the owner has openly expressed his regret to signing him in the first place... right? how many first round picks are the gonna have to dump to get off that contract?

Kyrie coming back after the Celtics gave up on Davis because they thought Kyrie was leaving would be the most Kyrie move

just kinda realizing now that he's not a laker i'm a big lonzo fan. feels like a scrappy underdog with a quirky jumper who's escaping from an abusive father's grasp, go lonzo

lag∞n, Tuesday, 18 June 2019 02:28 (seven years ago)

I really like his game and seems like a chill bro but that jumpshot will keep me at arms length. Seems like Rubio is his floor?

big city slam (Spottie), Tuesday, 18 June 2019 02:51 (seven years ago)

itll be cool for him to be on a shitty fun team that no ones really invested in, throwing oops to zion etc

lag∞n, Tuesday, 18 June 2019 02:53 (seven years ago)

If they keep jrue that’s gonna be a really tough backcourt on defense.

big city slam (Spottie), Tuesday, 18 June 2019 02:55 (seven years ago)

iirc, jrue was voted the most underrated nba player by the other nba players. the second place finisher was lillard.
