Either it is unclear exactly how bad the damage is, or they are playing it close to the vest bcz of KD free agency.

I sprained my left ankle about a year ago playing basketball, my first ankle sprain or really injury of any kind -- surprising given how active I am. it was excruciatingly painful and I was really worried I'd broken it, though honestly that might have been better. I wear an ankle brace now and while I am probably close to 100%, it still feels weird sometimes and will swell up if I play a lot of hoops or tennis or whatever, and I'm constantly terrified of re-spraining it. it sucks!

turning 30 in a week btw, was almost 29 when it happened. I've been really fortunate

I wear braces on both ankles. For awhile 1 or both of my ankles was getting really sore after a long hike. But idk it's like the ligaments finally repaired themselves and strengthened, 23 years after the initial sprain in gym class. Last year or so they haven't bothered me even a lil bit. I'm 40+ so had p much been resigned to the fact that they'd always bother me and would only deteriorate.

30 years of exclusively wearing chuck taylors for running/hooping and the subsequent plantar fasciitis means i cant even think about playing ball at this age for a half hour without limping terribly. at least i can still jog! small victories are the province of age.this thread got hella morbid.

Just watched the Durant clip for the first time since the game. Plain as day, there are people in the audience waving at him gloatingly and mouthing "Bye-bye." I wouldn't do it myself--not a big fan of such things--but I'm surprised there hasn't been a deluge of people shame-posting screenshots.

basketball fans are very gentile
― findom haddie (jim in vancouver), Wednesday, 12 June 2019 16:58 (seven years ago)
genteel even lol
theres also clips out there of random dudes running up and cheap-shot punching a dude in a warriors jersey after that game, twice. also people waiting outside of the hotel to yell at Sonya Curry. All teams have asshole fans I guess.
― big city slam (Spottie), Wednesday, 12 June 2019 17:09 (seven years ago)
few fans being dicks isnt the same thing as the whole stadium cheering which was the accusation, your honor

dray passing up a wide open shot to pass to klay for a contested one mars it slightly tho prob the right decision all things considered
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 12 June 2019 17:32 (seven years ago)
klay was wide open kawhi was all the way under the hoop when the pass was made he had to sell out but no one followed him
― big city slam (Spottie), Wednesday, 12 June 2019 17:34 (seven years ago)

these things are obv very, very bad.
jeering dude who was the best player on the opposing team when he has to come off for what you probably assumed was an aggravation of the relatively minor injury that had kept him out of the previous games in the series is ... not that bad imo.
― findom haddie (jim in vancouver), Wednesday, 12 June 2019 23:03 (seven years ago)
probably didn't help that we just finished a week of media stories about how chill toronto fans are

last game at Oracle tomorrow :(
― big city slam (Spottie), Wednesday, 12 June 2019 23:39 (seven years ago)
is dray wide open a better shot than klay contested? i dunno. im sure there are numbers, but i dont know what they are.
anyway, i loved the sheer force with which dray passed that ball across the court. it was more obvious / clear live than it is in that slo-mo.
and then watch where klay catches it.
just a tremendous fundamental pass.

serious question: do you suppose that there are a number of top level players in the nba who have a verbal clause in their contract that they will never be tested for marijuana? was thinking about this wrt klay honestly.
