rachel nichols hosting this nba full court press on espn2 is great
― be the 2 chainz you want 2 see in the world (m bison), Tuesday, 21 May 2019 02:32 (seven years ago)
lmao espn stealing a concept created by a video producer who they forced out b/c he was spending too much time making podcasts and other original content.
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 02:40 (seven years ago)
ha i didnt know about that, whats the story?
― be the 2 chainz you want 2 see in the world (m bison), Tuesday, 21 May 2019 02:41 (seven years ago)
this dude named jade produced the truehoop podcast which is the ancestor of the current brian windhorst podcast...back in like 2016 he developed a thing where he got a bunch of espn and non-espn people watching nba games in a room in the l.a. studio and broadcast it on the espn3 streaming platform. windhorst and rachel and most of the main espn nba people did it. eventually he left after they dicked him around about what he was working on and now he is producing pods independently and for the athletic with many of the same people.
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 02:50 (seven years ago)
i'm just laughing because he had to beg borrow and steal to do this on streaming three years ago and now the exact same thing is on espn2.
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 02:51 (seven years ago)
i like jade and co’s pods although some seem behind the athletic’s paywall. i kinda dig the nichols version too
― sknybrg, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 02:59 (seven years ago)
i think i like this format for games where the stakes arent super high. wd love to see this in the reg season.

gonna be sad when the Blazers inevitably blow this one as well
― frogbs, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:10 (seven years ago)
blazers def seem poised to give this away. were it not for their 3 point shooting bigs..
― sknybrg, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:12 (seven years ago)
Blazers can’t lose this what on earth
― but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:18 (seven years ago)
they can and they will
― frogbs, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:21 (seven years ago)

loll Curry
― frogbs, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:28 (seven years ago)

― but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:30 (seven years ago)
i think any game in which meyers leonard gets 30 points should be halted at that moment and both teams awarded a loss
― ciderpress, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:45 (seven years ago)
welp
― Clay, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:47 (seven years ago)
man Lillard with so many chances that game :/
― frogbs, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:48 (seven years ago)
giving up leads of like 15, 17, and 17 late in three consecutive games is pretty damning but otoh it's the warriors
― Clay, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:48 (seven years ago)
Steph Curry's point totals in this sweep of the Blazers: 36, 37, 36, 37. Made 26 of the team's 46 total 3s. More than half. Played the entire second half/OT tonight. Was a +19 in a 2-point win.— Anthony Slater (@anthonyVslater) May 21, 2019
― but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:51 (seven years ago)
yea kinda hard to call a sweep at the hands of a megateam heartbreaking but this sorta was
― frogbs, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:52 (seven years ago)
by the way what the fuck was that on the broadcast about how the Warriors don't want players with "talent", they want players with "heart" like uhh Golden State is the last team you can say that about
― frogbs, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 03:58 (seven years ago)
Empty platitudes. But for real they got contributions from some deep bench players.

― lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 18:14 (seven years ago)
stephs gotta be the most skilled person to ever touch a basketball
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 18:15 (seven years ago)
pretty crazy that dray/steph are the first teammates to have triple doubles in the same playoff game
― but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Tuesday, 21 May 2019 18:16 (seven years ago)
I keep telling my wife steph's the most magical player in the game today
― A is for (Aimless), Tuesday, 21 May 2019 18:17 (seven years ago)
he is unfathomable to me in a way where I respect the deep mysteries of the world
― Clay, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 18:18 (seven years ago)

― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 21 May 2019 18:33 (seven years ago)

― but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Tuesday, 21 May 2019 18:34 (seven years ago)
brutal lol
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 May 2019 18:34 (seven years ago)
last night it felt like every time the blazers had a run or a great play to get the crowd into it steph would hit a 3, one that prob wasn't even open in the traditional sense. and it reminded me that he might have the greatest "checkmate" shot of all time... like MJ was unstoppable obviously but i feel like nothing is quite as demoralizing as when steph is feeling it and just routinely hitting long and/or extremely difficult three pointers. it gets the most points and there's literally nothing you can do. lol.
