well thats what happens when you trade away your whole bench in the kawhi and marc gasol deals

kawhi trade delivered good value. gasol trade much less so.

Gasol helped them get passed embiid and vooch. But Jonas V may have been just as good idk

JV was a defensive liability

gasol is showing how fine the line is between playable and unplayable when you’re this deep in the playoffs.

they’ve dismantled dame

if kanter were scoring down low with efficiency, dame would have a better shooting percentage, but the dubs are too good at filling inside passing lanes, collapsing, and keeping the ball out of the middle. the wings have not been cutting or moving w/o the ball nearly enough, either.

raps actually getting production out of gasol and powell tonight, bodes well. but theyre only up 6 and their biggest hurdle has been the 4th, so...

even when this bucks team struggles, they have so many guys hoisting that they never get too far behind

Don't want to jinx the Bucks, but I think this is the one game Raptors might win. Bucks will be better in game 4.

Not to say the Raptors cant play better, but losing that first game cut deep.

the cool thing about the Bucks is that they can survive two of their key players having bad games but not when one of them is Giannis I guess

Bledsoe just killed the Bucks last night. I know Toronto played small a lot last night but I still feel like between the three other main smalls/wings (Middleton, Hill, Brogdon), the three bigs (Lopez, Ilyasova, Mirotic) and then Giannis, you have enough of a rotation. Maybe I'd feel more charitable towards him if he hadn't taken 16 goddamn shots.

this dude named jade produced the truehoop podcast which is the ancestor of the current brian windhorst podcast...back in like 2016 he developed a thing where he got a bunch of espn and non-espn people watching nba games in a room in the l.a. studio and broadcast it on the espn3 streaming platform. windhorst and rachel and most of the main espn nba people did it. eventually he left after they dicked him around about what he was working on and now he is producing pods independently and for the athletic with many of the same people.
