Yeah, it's nuts how well they've done considering their youth.

that game was a great advertisement for Playoff Experience... nuggs were just a little frenetic and disorganized the final 6 mins of the game. portland wasn’t getting easy shots either but they were playing more calmly and deliberately. just seems like the kind of game the nuggets will win 2 years from now.

Yikes, and now the Blazers won't get more than a day off between games til after game 3. At least they won't be battling altitude.

I’m really dejected but the playoffs clarified a lot of things for the nuggets:

-Barton can’t be in the 8 man rotation anymore
-Jokic is a playoff go-to guy, superstar, all that
-Gary Harris is back to being an elite defender

CJ performance was legendary and he was so calm. Evan Turner earned that contract in one game

being so bad that your team ends up in an elimination game and then playing well in that game does not justify a big contract

CJ is now officially my favorite NBA player.

i haven't been a huge cj fan b/c he doesn't do much other than score but when you score like that in a game 7 you're more or less bulletproof.

he takes almost exclusively difficult shots and i think that makes him susceptible to empty nights where his shots aren't falling and he isn't giving much else. but in tight playoff games tough shotmaking is very valuable.

he did get that insane block but it was extremely out of character

Man phillys half court offense is brutal rn. I’d like to see them at least give jimmy a chance to run the show, it’s worked at times in this series and maybe that would get him untracked.

yeah that block was a winning play.

i’m rewatching the 4th since i was out earlier. the blazers were just able to stay solid in a game where nobody’s shot was falling. their rebounding and defensive discipline were excellent.

evan turner was awesome too. for a guy who wasn’t supposed to be playing he made a ton of plays.

i think you could optimistically say he's a guy who never really came back right this year and a healthy offseason will do him good. otoh i think he's on the wrong team. he isn't a 3 and they don't really need his skills or have room for him at the 2.
