lowe has been writing and podcasting about this, but portland really has no answer for the murray/jokic pick and roll. they have hood on murray now, picking up at like half court, and jokic is responding by setting super high screens and getting the ball with a ton of space

it seemed pretty clear when the series started that portland would have a terrible time trying to contain jokic.

It actually happens a fair amount that a veteran player who's kicked around a while on several teams and is viewed as iffy, lands on a new team, gets a few minutes, plays well when inserted for a look-see, gets a morale boost, gains confidence, earns a rotation spot, and plays better than they ever have before. The real test will be if Hood plays this well all through next season, but for now, he's happy, confident, playing loose and focused.
