that was a nice finish by the dubs but i remain unconvinced they have the horses to run w the rockets for a full game minus durant... steph and klay are gonna need to put up like 70+ points combined

also they're going to be really susceptible to foul trouble... steph was ok last night but has gotten into foul trouble before against the rockets. dray fouled out. they're gonna have to figure out how to deal w/ targeted switches and a physical game for the three guys (well, klay is usually fine) that they absolutely cannot afford to lose

this game should be fun. splash bros will have the greenest of green lights, probably more high pick n roll between dray and curry which is still one of their deadliest plays (that we rarely see any more), rockets are going to blitz curry so hard so there should be plenty of 4 on 3s if he can keep from doing dumb turnovers. dray will be doing more pushing on offense, iggy will have to make a couple threes, got to get anything from Livingston. kerr will probably give minutes to bench dudes that havent played yet (bogut can play vs nene, maybe cook when rivers plays) to see if they have anything to offer. looney will be important, his offensive rebounds yesterday were massive and he can guard harden respectively without fouling. feels good to be the underdog again!

kinda excited about this series again now! two chances to prove they can still win against a team built to beat them and do it without durant is a lot more interesting than what came before.

lowe has been writing and podcasting about this, but portland really has no answer for the murray/jokic pick and roll. they have hood on murray now, picking up at like half court, and jokic is responding by setting super high screens and getting the ball with a ton of space

it seemed pretty clear when the series started that portland would have a terrible time trying to contain jokic.
