for me i guess its just that i dont know what hes about really so hes kind of mysterious? why is his blood is always boiling, why is he unwilling to change? the media thing is super lame to me but it is not the norm so i find it interesting.

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Tuesday, 7 May 2019 06:02 (seven years ago)

fair enough! the media thing is not that interesting to me - i just think he's being a dick - but i can totally buy the mystery and the boiling blood.

i think he has just pushed me away enough to not really care what he's all about. if he were winning championships it might be different. but that's just me, obviously everyone's different. (and again, no judgment!)

alpine static, Tuesday, 7 May 2019 15:01 (seven years ago)

if I were OKC i'd try to trade him for ... i dunno, D'Aaron Fox or something. strike while people are still enamored by RW's stats.

alpine static, Tuesday, 7 May 2019 15:03 (seven years ago)

Westbrook is not mysterious at all. If I were OKC, I'd look for a trade, but if I were any other GM, I'd only pick him up from the bargain bin.

A is for (Aimless), Tuesday, 7 May 2019 16:14 (seven years ago)

if i were okc, i would simply move the team to seattle

ciderpress, Tuesday, 7 May 2019 16:19 (seven years ago)

Russ is set to make almost $79 million over the next two seasons. Probably not realistic to trade him unless it's in exchange for another contract albatross like Wall or CP3, or if you package him with more attractive pieces, which OKC would seem to lack (unless, like, Terence Ferguson gets your motor running).

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Tuesday, 7 May 2019 16:23 (seven years ago)

Trading him would be the worst thing they could do. These small markets have to stick to the loyalty angle. And he means way too much to the area and their fanbase post KD. The correct basketball move would be to trade for sure but they’d have that stain when trying to lure free agents.

No idea if it's the right move but Gersson Rosas has a really interesting personal story, parents moved from Columbia when he was 3 years old to escape the cartel violence of the time, really comes off a cool, smart dude

I hope he keeps Ryan Saunders around for at least another year. He seems to have a good rapport with the players, though I imagine almost anyone would seem like a godsend after Thibs.

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Tuesday, 7 May 2019 18:21 (seven years ago)

Local media ppl are saying that Saunders is likely to keep the job, but Rosas wants to have more staff/assistants and modernize the org...and obv stop ignoring the changes that the 3 has brought to the game

i have scouted rui hachimura and i covet him so i hope the spurs move up in the draft to get him

be the 2 chainz you want 2 see in the world (m bison), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 11:31 (seven years ago)

i havent seen much of rui, can he defend? his block numbers seem low

micah, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 13:23 (seven years ago)

Rui seems like the kind of guy who will be out of the league in four years if he ends up in like Charlotte but who would have a productive 12 year career with the Spurs.

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:02 (seven years ago)

I’ve never gotten the Rui thing. Not a bad player but the top 10 consideration has always seemed weird to me. On the other hand this is a weak draft.

Discussions have included talks on contract and assistant coaching staff, sources said. Among Lakers hopes on a Lue staff: Jason Kidd. He made a strong impression with management in his head coaching interview and had a productive history w/ Bucks developing young talent. https://t.co/uQxTjqWAm7

Metta World Peace @MettaWorldPeace

No question I would win title as a @NBA head coach . I just had a debate with this guy. He said I don’t have the experience. Listen dude , it’s not difficult. Keep spacing , move to open areas , mix C with Triangle and play defense.

Metta World Peace @MettaWorldPeace

I coached two years at Palisades Highschool while playing for @Lakers in my last two seasons. And coached at Beverly Hills and Hillcrest on occasions. And a 5 time @DrewLeague head coach . I know exactly what I want to do .

Metta World Peace @MettaWorldPeace

Just because I’m a street legend and super QB , doesn’t mean I can’t run through the @NBA as a head coach . Don’t sleep on Metta World. Anyway, catch me coaching locally in LA.

Metta World Peace @MettaWorldPeace

Here is my pitch for head coach. Lol. Seriously . “ You wanna win or what”. Lol. I’m literally not bringing in any pad or plan. It is what it is. I’m dope and that’s that. Lol.

hired

lag∞n, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 23:24 (seven years ago)

having yr management team made up of people from 3 families seems normal and not weird

Source: The Buss family & Rob Pelinka signed off on hiring Ty Lue last week. Kurt & Linda Rambis were the only parties opposed, and convinced the Lakers to hold off, which lead to today.

Lakers advisor Kurt Rambis is playing a major role in the franchise's coaching search, league sources tell ESPN. He's emerging as a powerful voice in basketball operations.
