i think associate HC has a slightly elevated level of ranking/prestige/salary maybe. also maybe next in line should something unfortunate happen to Jason Kidd/Ty Lue...?

iirc a couple few teams have done it before as a way to lure an ex head coach who still has prospects in the big seat but i cant remember who it was
