even though the blazers have a confusing ownership situation it's reasonable to think that if they go down in the first round as a high seed this year some people are getting fired

call all destroyer, Thursday, 11 April 2019 03:10 (seven years ago)

i guess there's an injury excuse but still it would be rough

call all destroyer, Thursday, 11 April 2019 03:14 (seven years ago)

there's also the thing of, like, what do you even do with this roster if their main gear is "getting crushed in the first round every year"

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 03:15 (seven years ago)

If Stotts is behind this, I trust his judgment. If it is any other part of management, they should butt out.

honestly the blazers and nuggets should lose second round picks for this

Nah. If there is ever a moment to sit your starters, it is the last game of the season, when you've clinched home court and your eventual seeding is not in your own hands. Injuries happen, you know, like what just happened to Nurkic and to Smart. This was a legit decision for legit reasons.

blazers gave up 87 to the kings in the first half

sknybrg, Thursday, 11 April 2019 03:36 (seven years ago)

it's one-two-three, what are we fightin' for?
Don't ask me I don't give a damn.
Next stop is fourth seed in the offs.

Most of the blazer players getting minutes tonight have had limited minutes this season. This is their chance to play before being shut down for the year. Giving up 87 in a half should give them something to think about going forward.

A is for (Aimless), Thursday, 11 April 2019 03:42 (seven years ago)

Oh my god is this blazers state media on here

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 11 April 2019 03:53 (seven years ago)

if they dont lose a 2nd round pick, they should spot the opponent 10 points in game 1

spurs dirk tribute video was really nice. seeing dirk’s reaction made me a little misty

sknybrg, Thursday, 11 April 2019 03:57 (seven years ago)

i agree that this is awful and stupid and mostly the front office are terrible cowards xp

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 03:58 (seven years ago)

Cue Brando's "I coulda been a contender" speech.

A is for (Aimless), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:00 (seven years ago)

i agree that this is awful and stupid

You all do realize there are 82 games in the regular season, don't you? And the first 81 have already been played? And being ready for the playoffs is rather more important than anything that could have been accomplished in the 82nd game?

What is so awful and stupid here? Learn me.

A is for (Aimless), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:09 (seven years ago)

lagoon and i went to game 82 a couple years ago and it was the worst basketball i've seen in my life for one

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:15 (seven years ago)

aimless stop

k3vin k., Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:15 (seven years ago)

well tonight is going terribly

k3vin k., Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:15 (seven years ago)

it was the worst basketball i've seen in my life

the only time it was ever going to be good was in the unlikely event that there was a big reward for winning or a big penalty for losing. the odds will always favor that the last game is the most meaningless game the team will play all season.

A is for (Aimless), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:21 (seven years ago)

uhh the blazers have pulled to within 1??

k3vin k., Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:25 (seven years ago)

anfernee simons mvp chatter v hot rn

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:25 (seven years ago)

if the blazers win and nuggets lose i will lol for real

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:26 (seven years ago)

the big reward is avoiding the warriors

Jeff Bathos (symsymsym), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:26 (seven years ago)

What are we all cheering for here?

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:29 (seven years ago)

pdx running a 6 man scrub rotation lol

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:31 (seven years ago)

this is a pretty funny turn of events

Jeff Bathos (symsymsym), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:31 (seven years ago)

what happens if they all end at 53-29

Jeff Bathos (symsymsym), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:31 (seven years ago)

who has tiebreakers on who?

ciderpress, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:33 (seven years ago)

denver's gonna lose so the kings and blazers game is irrelevant

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:34 (seven years ago)

if denver loses it's 2. nuggs, 3. rox, 4. blaze

if portland and denver win it's 2. nuggs, 3. blaze, 4. rox

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:35 (seven years ago)

Ha all three games are close ish

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:37 (seven years ago)

that doesnt make sense how does portland win a 2 way tie but come last in a 3 way tie

ciderpress, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:37 (seven years ago)

i think it would be 2. portland 3. hou 4. denver??

you know who deserves sitewide mod privileges? (m bison), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:39 (seven years ago)

idgi i am just reporting what i have been told

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:39 (seven years ago)

i guess it depends on how the 3 way tiebreaker works like if each team has tiebreaker over 1 other team in a circle how does it work out

ciderpress, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:40 (seven years ago)

they should decide it by ILH poll

Jeff Bathos (symsymsym), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:41 (seven years ago)

last games of the season are delivering. fantastic.

sknybrg, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:42 (seven years ago)

3way tie is determined by record against one another so hou's record v. den/por, den record v. por/hou, and por's record v. den/hou. if theres still a tie, go off conference record. still a tie? fight to the death

you know who deserves sitewide mod privileges? (m bison), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:42 (seven years ago)

lmaooooo denver is winning this game and portland might also, too delicious

you know who deserves sitewide mod privileges? (m bison), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:43 (seven years ago)

lol kevin's dream scenario is playing out after all this is crazed

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:44 (seven years ago)

omfg it's happening

k3vin k., Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:44 (seven years ago)

what a finish to that nuggets game. my roommate hates me

k3vin k., Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:44 (seven years ago)

this is good tho, iirc portland and okc kinda hate each other so series should be chippy also for me personally it is obv the best to get in a series against players you can't stand and my feelings about rwb are pretty well known around here

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:45 (seven years ago)

omg it happened i love drama

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:45 (seven years ago)

this could only happen in the messiest of all seasons god bless the 18-19 reg season truly the god

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:48 (seven years ago)

this season truly ended in a glorious, messy manner.

sknybrg, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:48 (seven years ago)

k3vin k., Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:48 (seven years ago)

it is extremely fucking satisfying to win that game against the wolves, who knocked the nuggets out of the playoffs in game 82 last year

k3vin k., Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:49 (seven years ago)

rockets jazz is gonna be great

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:49 (seven years ago)

interested in sixers/nets (imagine saying that three years ago!), celtics/pacers, and basically everything out west but but the 1/8

Clay, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:52 (seven years ago)

Is Rubio actually hurt again for this matchup with the Rox or just resting-for-the-offs hurt?

Fetchboy, Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:54 (seven years ago)

hoping denver continues to play like a bunch of bums and the spurs pull off the upset before upsetting okc before upsetting gs before upsetting kawhi on the way to upsetting american en route to the championship derrick white finals mvp there it is

you know who deserves sitewide mod privileges? (m bison), Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:56 (seven years ago)

the west matchups look amazing and the east almost uniformly dire save the sixers/nets

k3vin k., Thursday, 11 April 2019 04:57 (seven years ago)
