im too lazy to search for it but before the season when someone posted the over/unders i said the kings were the best over in the west and ppl weren't having it even though it was like 22 or something stupid low

you nailed this. i remember strongly voicing that i thought they would be one of the 3 worst teams in the nba. didn't see fox making such a leap or joeger figuring out lineups that made sense with the group they have.

this was in the preseason when joeger was playing cauley-stein, bagley, giles, and koufos together as some sort of performance art/protest

its true he tricked us it not our fault, also the kings verge of firing him iirc

Can’t understate how good Hield has been too. His leap is almost as big as Fox’s. Although maybe it’s just that he’s been given more minutes and more freedom to hoist

Contract year for trill too so they’ll probably over pay for him and then he’ll go back to being good once every five games or w/e

seems like he doesnt do as much on D as youd like a player of his style to

agree. he's become a nice roll guy on offense but he's not out there locking the rim down. they could just pay some random center a cheap contract and see what harry giles could do in a bigger role.

Lest we not forget they also lost to the other worst team the suns in a must win game

Re kd: Dubs need kd in certain matchups but they would still be title favorites without him imo. Just less margin for error. And obv would need someone at least as good as young Harrison Barnes was in his place. Although I have to now admit that the draymond slippage is real as all the possible excuses are out the window and it looks like he’s just lost a little athleticism. Still a genius and I’m sure he’ll turn it up for the offs but the days of him dominating every night are behind him.
