once they saw boog get picked apart and roasted throughout the first quarter they were like whats the point. stephs rhythm is way off with boogie. the whole "only one ball" thing was bs when kd came but with boogie in the starring lineup its def real. having 3 guys that need the ball to work at their best + klay who needs shots just doesnt make sense.

boogie at the best of times is not a great defender but watching him drag his leg around out there while the celtics pranced by him is just like this is not the guy this team needs at center

some sort of bench scorer role kinda makes sense except for when u consider that in the offs the dubs are gonna have two of steph/kd/klay on the floor p much all the time

and then just dumping the ball to him in the post on offense on occasion...

a boogie back to the basket post-up is the 4th worst option in the starting lineup

yeah even having to consider getting him shots is counter productive

yeah if he was willing to come off the bench it would make more sense. or ok with being used minimally in certain matchups. im having shaq on the suns nightmare flashbacks.

ultimately it just seems like his body isnt right enough to play even passable D which if that doesnt improve basically makes him unplayable in the offs

yeah. i mean he can still pile up stats vs crap teams that arent smart enough (or dont have the personnel) to pick on him but as we see the games vs the teams that matter arent going to work

im really interested to see what his market value will be this summer. guess it still depends what we see deeper in the playoffs

and as far as a way of getting a ton of money being truly excellent at something is good, especially compared to the alternatives which generally have to do with exploiting your fellow humans/sentient beings/world

last season I thought Zach struggled to get easy, high % buckets but now he does a great job of getting to the rim, mixing it up w long & mid range. guess he was prob figuring out how to score in a new system plus maybe getting his quickness back.
