xp that's why it's still smart to bet on the warriors tbh

call all destroyer, Friday, 1 March 2019 04:00 (seven years ago)

Yep

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Friday, 1 March 2019 04:00 (seven years ago)

no the warriors are cooked

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 04:01 (seven years ago)

Maybe but they could still win it being cooked.

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Friday, 1 March 2019 04:02 (seven years ago)

yeah i mean they def cld but it wld be more dramatic if they didnt

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 04:03 (seven years ago)

the much touted "hunger" that people talk so much about does not appear to be operating for the dubs this season. of course, we won't really know what they're up to until the playoffs begin. the regular season no doubt bores them, especially after setting the record for regular season wins they lost in the finals.

the thing about the celtics that I haven’t seen enough people really discuss is that even when they’ve rattled off those impressive runs it’s always been blowing out bad teams. they’re 11-14 against teams .500 and above, which it turns out are the ones u play against in the offs

k3vin k., Friday, 1 March 2019 04:08 (seven years ago)

its harder to beat good teams

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 04:09 (seven years ago)

true but it seems relevant to a discussion of a teams chances of making a deep playoff run

k3vin k., Friday, 1 March 2019 04:10 (seven years ago)

http://www.espn.co.uk/nba/table/_/view/expanded

11-15 actually

k3vin k., Friday, 1 March 2019 04:11 (seven years ago)

the thing with the celtics is theyve just woefully underachieved their talent but like its possible that they will achieve their talent or at least come closer

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 04:12 (seven years ago)

i think ppl feel like overall they've played the top of the east tough even when it hasn't resulted in wins. iirc they haven't played the west very well at all.

call all destroyer, Friday, 1 March 2019 04:13 (seven years ago)

the point I'm making is that the flashes they've shown that make people think that have largely been against bad teams which maybe doesn't mean as much as you'd think initially xp

k3vin k., Friday, 1 March 2019 04:14 (seven years ago)

but also play up until now maybe doesnt mean as much as youd think initially

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 04:17 (seven years ago)

hmm actually playing bad is a bad sign

k3vin k., Friday, 1 March 2019 04:20 (seven years ago)

it's best to play well, generally a good indicator

k3vin k., Friday, 1 March 2019 04:20 (seven years ago)

im not saying it doesnt matter

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 04:21 (seven years ago)

this nuggets/jazz game is 32-24 halfway through the 2nd quarter, what year is this

k3vin k., Friday, 1 March 2019 04:21 (seven years ago)

i've been watching the celtics and there is no indication that they're just going to figure it out in the playoffs. it could happen but it won't be anything we can see currently.

call all destroyer, Friday, 1 March 2019 04:27 (seven years ago)

i think ramping up the defensive intensity wld go a long way

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 04:28 (seven years ago)

also in the playoffs al horford starts yelling which really gets everyone fired up

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 04:31 (seven years ago)

the donovan mitchell scoop layups are sweet to behold. nuggets made that game good!

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Friday, 1 March 2019 06:14 (seven years ago)

gary harris has shot it really poorly this year. hopefully he can stay healthy and get some rhythm heading into the playoffs

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2822720-as-luka-doncic-turns-20-nba-marvels-at-runaway-rookie-of-the-year

Some debated if Doncic had enough athleticism for the NBA. Even now, one executive has doubts: "It was expected he would perform ahead of his class, given the fact that he did stuff that no other young player had done in the European league...but it's hard to say he's going to be an MVP-type player because he's already so good this young, and athletically, he doesn't have the upside of many other kids."

idk...

omar little, Friday, 1 March 2019 17:29 (seven years ago)

lol yeah already so good young is exactly not an argument against being better later

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 17:30 (seven years ago)

his lack of athleticism will prob hold him back on D, theres tons of great unathletic offensive players tho

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 17:33 (seven years ago)

also need to see him in nba shape to really know

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 17:33 (seven years ago)

lol @ anonymous executive so high on "upside" that he fails to recognize the value of currently being really, really, really good.

call all destroyer, Friday, 1 March 2019 17:44 (seven years ago)

also there's a real conflation with athleticism and ability to improve. you can improve your game in many ways that don't involve athleticism!

J0rdan S., Friday, 1 March 2019 17:54 (seven years ago)

learning how to play basketball good lol

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 18:33 (seven years ago)

if the biggest complaint about his game is "he needs to get in better shape," that's pretty ideal imo. it is not hard for pro athletes to get into better shape.

voodoo chili, Friday, 1 March 2019 18:40 (seven years ago)

yeah and its not uncommon for rookies to not be in nba shape

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 18:47 (seven years ago)

hope the zinger can stay healthy and it can be the luka n zing show down there

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 19:07 (seven years ago)

The San Antonio Spurs and center Pau Gasol have agreed on a contract buyout, clearing the way for the six-time All-Star to be playoffs-eligible for his next team, league sources told ESPN.

ciderpress, Friday, 1 March 2019 21:46 (seven years ago)

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 21:47 (seven years ago)

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Friday, 1 March 2019 21:55 (seven years ago)

...just checked the depth chart and old man gasol actually looks like an ok pickup cos after bropez theyve got nothing.

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Friday, 1 March 2019 22:11 (seven years ago)

both him and lopez will be such targets in the offs

lag∞n, Friday, 1 March 2019 22:13 (seven years ago)

of course

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Friday, 1 March 2019 22:18 (seven years ago)

they're probably very pissed the knicks didn't buy out deandre

voodoo chili, Friday, 1 March 2019 22:20 (seven years ago)

he wouldn't fit with a bud team at all, but he has to have more gas in the tank than gasol?

voodoo chili, Friday, 1 March 2019 22:21 (seven years ago)

4/70 extension for bledsoe to stay. good value for bucks. feels like the right price

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Friday, 1 March 2019 23:13 (seven years ago)

i think the knicks arent opposed to bringing back DJ on a good deal.. and DJ and KD are best buds so Im sure they want him there for free agency pitches and if the big free agents end up coming.

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Friday, 1 March 2019 23:15 (seven years ago)

Bledsoe is so good when he isn’t trying to heroball all the time

frogbs, Saturday, 2 March 2019 00:18 (seven years ago)

big contract for a coward

lag∞n, Saturday, 2 March 2019 00:19 (seven years ago)

pau is utterly cooked but he can reproduce some of lopez's skill set for 5-10 minutes. he is unusable in the playoffs against any of the good teams.

you know who deserves sitewide mod privileges? (m bison), Saturday, 2 March 2019 00:48 (seven years ago)
