Celtics fans either chanted:

- LeBron’s gonna trade you
- LeBron tried to trade you
- LeBron wanted to trade you
- Overrated (?)

at Brandon Ingram at the free-throw line. I am … not sure exactly what it was.

Bill Oram@billoram

Rob Pelinka said he hopes LAL season follows the arc of the Patriots. "I almost look at Bullock & Muscala...My hope is, much like Edelman was, it’s just one player, but that can have such a big impact on overall chemistry & I hope those two guys can come in and have that impact"

marcos smart (Spottie), Friday, 8 February 2019 20:57 (seven years ago)

haaa

lag∞n, Friday, 8 February 2019 21:07 (seven years ago)

call all destroyer, Friday, 8 February 2019 21:12 (seven years ago)

seem like great guys to trust with the franchise's most important trade negotiation in decades

call all destroyer, Friday, 8 February 2019 21:13 (seven years ago)

incredible how lebrons been signing short deals for years to have flexibility/leverage and then goes and does a max length deal w these guy

lag∞n, Friday, 8 February 2019 21:15 (seven years ago)

coudl always demand a trade

marcos smart (Spottie), Friday, 8 February 2019 21:22 (seven years ago)

LeBron is 34. tbf, a max length contract with the lakers makes a lot of sense at this stage in his career.

A is for (Aimless), Friday, 8 February 2019 21:24 (seven years ago)

unless he wants to win......

lag∞n, Friday, 8 February 2019 21:31 (seven years ago)

winning isn't as urgent for LeBron as it was when he left the cavs. his legacy is pretty secure by now. it's just a matter of exactly where he fits into the top 3 of all time when he's all done, and he has plenty of fans who'd already put him at number 1 if he retired this June.

A is for (Aimless), Friday, 8 February 2019 21:36 (seven years ago)

okaay

lag∞n, Friday, 8 February 2019 21:40 (seven years ago)

I'm sure he won't be dogging it, but will he still burn with a gem-like flame?

A is for (Aimless), Friday, 8 February 2019 21:44 (seven years ago)

yeah bron prob just chill at this point making contract cash bc that is how insanely competitive athletes are speaking generally

Clay, Friday, 8 February 2019 21:50 (seven years ago)

hed done such good image rehab after the decision until....... he tried to trade his entire team

lag∞n, Friday, 8 February 2019 21:52 (seven years ago)

this whole joining the lakers thing has been a real disaster like does anyone think this has gone well for him

Clay, Friday, 8 February 2019 21:54 (seven years ago)

theres only one conclusion to take from the situation the lakers are cursed

lag∞n, Friday, 8 February 2019 21:57 (seven years ago)

i think LeBron's Lakers move has gone about as poorly as one could have hoped or rather maybe expected. also i think it's highlighted an underrated part of his legacy that affects his GOAT status, which is arguably that he's won three chips despite rather than because of his ghost GMing.

omar little, Friday, 8 February 2019 22:01 (seven years ago)

for me it doesn't take him out of the running for being the actual GOAT, it's just an anti-GOAT argument that could be made.

omar little, Friday, 8 February 2019 22:02 (seven years ago)

a lot of this goes back to "lebron had no good choices in free agency" which is a take i still believe for the most part

call all destroyer, Friday, 8 February 2019 22:05 (seven years ago)

theres an alternate history where he links up w a good org lets them do their job and wins 7 rings
