i'm a big fan of lavine's too... i think i said i would've traded wiggins to the bulls instead and i don't feel too awful about that right now. i think the style he plays is not really conducive to making a bad team better but i would love to see him on a good team that could cover for his faults. he would be really good in an eric gordon kinda role for any of the top teams in the east right now imo

Slowly?! Dude has legit game bending potential. Probably one of the 4 best shooters in the league over the last 3 years

I don't have enough exposure to the kings to move any faster. Stats tell me much less than watching game play.

They’ve been pretty fun to watch all year, fun comes from Fox but much of the viability is in buddy keeping them in games just via shooting

just got home from the spurs game which was my son's first. it was competitive, but the spurs struggled with the clippers' p'n'r and the defensive intensity of avery bradley and pat beverley. derrick white continues to be that dude tho. honestly, he's been playing as the second best player on the team and i wish he would assert himself more bc he's capable.

this pistons team is abysmal. blake is balling out this year and he's stuck next to a weirdo behemoth instead of surrounded by shooters. im not sure theres a team currently in a worse situation

the bottom 5 or 6 in the east all seem like they're in pretty dire medium-term shape

like heat, hornets, pistons, wiz, magic, hawks, bulls, knicks, cavs.....do any of those teams have reason for optimism? knicks fans I'm sure are convinced everything is going to work out somehow

yeah the wiz are in total purgatory until they figure out how to deal with that wall contract

hawks and knicks have some room to be agile, they're not any worse off than any given basement team its just up to the front office there

the others all have another year or more before their books clear

they're all in kinda similar spots but theres def reason for some optimisim or hope with some of those/ kincks have porzingis at least. magic have some promising youngsters and trade assets. hawks seem to be moving in the right direction with collins/trae/huerter and maybe even bembry. bulls have talent imo, just need to marinate and get new coach (and mgmt obv). heat payroll is a mess.hornets are moving backwards for sure. wizards down in hell with the pistons yeah.

then what is they go from 'bad team with no room for improvement' to 'bad team with room for improvement' which is a step forward. but yeah thats not until 2020 for most of those

then you look at the west and other than maybe the grizzlies, every team has some reason for optimism

yeah east has more teams on the downswing part of the rebuild cycle whereas west has more teams on the upswing part
