Nerlens is good again?

digging into the spurs' run since december. they started the year 11-14 and have since gone 11-3. a big part of that is getting lamarcus in better spots and as a result, he's been the spurs' leading scorer in the last 14 games since december (22.9 ppg).

demar (20.2 ppg, all stats henceforth since dec) is still shooting as much as LA, but doesn't have the efficiency of LA rn. he's making up for it with more distribution (7.3 apg to 1.9 TOs since dec) and rebounding (6.9 rpg since dec). spurs don't shoot a ton of 3's (24.5 3PA pg), but they make a very high %age (43.4%!!!) and have 3 guys on the roster shooting >40% from 3 with >4 3PAs per game (bertans, forbes, and the reemerging belinelli). bertans has been shooting 55.6% from 3, what the fuuuuuuuuuuuuck he should be getting 10 3PAs a game.

finally, derrick white is fucking up the opposing squad on a nightly basis now. he's provided the perimeter defense they sorely needed with dejounte murray injured for the year and has been an anchor on the wing with LA and poeltl protecting the paint. on offense, he's not elite (yet) but he can shoot from anywhere, whether hitting open midrange jumpers, 3s, or blazing to the rim for layups.

If I'm the Warriors, I’m angered by Patrick McCaw situation. Cavs gave him a big non-guaranteed offer sheet they knew GSW couldn’t match, only to waive him a few days later. Net effect is to take a player under GSW control (and for whom they real money), and instead make him UFA.
