Ayton has been playing with much more fervor of late. Had a 24 point quarter tonight

And the wiz proved last year they were better as a team when wall is out. The ball moves around much more, think they had 35 assists tonight. Sans wall their floor raises but their ceiling lowers.

wiz rotation tonight was 8 guys, five of whom have essentially no NBA careers to speak of and another one of whom was jeff green. they put up 130

i’ll always stan john wall. his saga feels like equal parts personal immaturity, being drafted into a historically incompetent franchise and being a player powered by athleticism/speed who dealt with too many lower leg injuries. but at times he was super fun and dominant.

Yeah I mean... Any delusions locally that this team is making the playoffs are long gone... So it's ditching yet another coach and starting over again, the circle of life continues...

I guess I console myself that at least the time we're back to square two or three instead of square one, handful of guys like KAT, Okogie, Saric, Convington etc that at least belong in the NBA....

xp but they are still short good players. media people keep talking about the sixers making a move in season but i would argue there is no move out there for them.

my increasing hope is that ball and simmons don't really progress much and turn into examples for the next generation of super athletic and talented guys who then actually take time to learn proper shooting technique.

i actually think its funny when guys are amazing at basketball but shoot worse than some rando at the playground

do the sixers even have money available to sign buyout guys? everyone keeps acting like ilyasova and bellineli are happening again but i'm not sure they have free money to make those types of moves.

Veteran minimum salaries (like Ilaysova and Bellinelli last year) don’t count for the cap, only the tax.

i thought they gave one or both of those guys money above the vet minimum. can't find sources at the moment. regardless they're going to be lucky to find one impact guy who wants to take the vet minimum to play for the 5th seed in the east.
