lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 00:36 (seven years ago)

i can understand court markings for like set plays, but like do guys really need to be reminded where the corners are? or if you're gonna pull up from 30, this is where to do it from? idk

circles, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 01:59 (seven years ago)

put a big square on the wing so players know where it is

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 02:49 (seven years ago)

some truly excellent results in the assoc tonite

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:10 (seven years ago)

starting to get some separation out west. top 3 (den, gs, okc) within a game of one another. and then...two whole games between #3 okc and #4 lal! and then...two whole games between #4 (lakers) and #11 (spurs)!!!

21st savagery fox (m bison), Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:13 (seven years ago)

my main takeaway from the 4 point line piece is that if teams are painting a 4 point line on their practice courts it's only a matter of time before the league either adopts it as a rule or moves the 3 point line back

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:18 (seven years ago)

Always love to see the Lakers lose (sorry Javale)

Fetchboy, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:19 (seven years ago)

players shd just start demanding 4 points when they hit a very deep shot

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:19 (seven years ago)

4 pointer permits is the cap and trade scheme you didnt think you wanted

21st savagery fox (m bison), Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:20 (seven years ago)

i demand a five point shot (that's a dunk)

Clay, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:23 (seven years ago)

the famous dunk

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:24 (seven years ago)

many of the greats could do the move we know as the 'dunk'

Clay, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:24 (seven years ago)

rock n jock was ahead of the curve

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:27 (seven years ago)

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:30 (seven years ago)

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 03:35 (seven years ago)

jamal murray had 15 assists tonight, which has to be a career high, and 10 in the first half

k3vin k., Wednesday, 19 December 2018 05:11 (seven years ago)

no he had 16 once

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 05:14 (seven years ago)

Miami’s Goran Dragic will miss two months with knee surgery, per source.

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 17:26 (seven years ago)

too late to tank too, rough. the heat need to find a way to offload those bad contracts and start over. if you have to get rid of j rich to dump a contract then so be it, he's a nice player but not a cornerstone, somehow he's the 7th highest paid player on that team and will be the 8th when Winslows extendo kicks in next season.

this is just sad

тпсбlack (Spottie), Wednesday, 19 December 2018 17:44 (seven years ago)

yeah miami shd get more credit for truly mastering mediocrity post bron

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 18:26 (seven years ago)

doubt riley has much appetite for rebuilding at this stage of his career/life

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 18:27 (seven years ago)

yeh he wont do it but you know... he should.

тпсбlack (Spottie), Wednesday, 19 December 2018 18:29 (seven years ago)

def

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 18:29 (seven years ago)

next year is prob more realistic to be able to do it. whiteside/tyler/dragic all will be expiring contracts

тпсбlack (Spottie), Wednesday, 19 December 2018 18:34 (seven years ago)

heat shd prob just kick him upstairs to some quasi retirement type position anyway

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 18:35 (seven years ago)

73 isnt too old! pop will be 70 in a month. the both should retire and chill but probably hard to put it all down when that's all youve known. should all just join nellie in hawaii and play poker and get blazed nightly

тпсбlack (Spottie), Wednesday, 19 December 2018 18:53 (seven years ago)

lol otm

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 19:11 (seven years ago)

lavine out 2-4 weeks with ankle injury.

тпсбlack (Spottie), Wednesday, 19 December 2018 21:17 (seven years ago)

it's funny i've actually enjoyed watching this team over the last few years bcuz it's so funky and scrappy. i dunno, a middle will always exist in the nba and they paid the tax (figuratively) for having bron, and the bosh stuff set off a cascade of mildly regrettable decisions. but the east is funny--in order to be bad, like tanking bad, you have to be *really* fuckin bad and it's totally understandable to me why the heat had no real appetite to do that. i think the closest analogue to them in the league is the mavs, but being in the west affords you a paradoxical sort of luxury where you can be kinda middle of the road in the context of the league but get so beat up by your own conference that you end up picking in the top 6 or so w/o ever actually having to stoop down to the level of the kings or suns or hornets or whatever.

zach lowe has been saying that the heat have the bleakest longterm outlook in the nba and strictly looking at the cap sheet i get where he's coming from, but they're a well run, non-reactive franchise and even given their state now i'd still put their chances of winning a title in the next 5-10 years above like half the league. i just think that kind of core competency matters a lot... like the wolves for instance have KAT who is 20x more valuable than anyone on the heat, but their franchise is run bad and always has been, and that history tends to matter.

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 19 December 2018 21:21 (seven years ago)

btw they just went 4-2 on a six game western conference road trip w/ wins over the clippers, grizz and pelicans. not dead yet baby!

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 19 December 2018 21:23 (seven years ago)

thats otm. and its not like any of their rotation players are actively bad. they're all pretty good, just overpaid.

тпсбlack (Spottie), Wednesday, 19 December 2018 21:25 (seven years ago)

Kings next little run of games will let us know if they are for real or just league pass darlings

тпсбlack (Spottie), Wednesday, 19 December 2018 21:45 (seven years ago)

id say theyre genuinely not awful

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 21:48 (seven years ago)

but will prob go through an 8 game losing streak at some point this season thatll knock them out of playoff contention

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 21:49 (seven years ago)

theyre like worse than the pistons but better than the nets

lag∞n, Wednesday, 19 December 2018 21:50 (seven years ago)

the suns have won three in a row for the first time in forever and they have a cakewalk tonight on nbatv

тпсбlack (Spottie), Wednesday, 19 December 2018 21:53 (seven years ago)

kings def have a pretty competent rotation now

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 19 December 2018 21:54 (seven years ago)
