lag∞n, Thursday, 13 December 2018 05:45 (seven years ago)

76ers have some things to figure out for sure. Jimmy injury just delays that.

Celtoes Adidas (Spottie), Thursday, 13 December 2018 05:47 (seven years ago)

Kings v wolves was probably a fun watch 141-130. Bogdanovic has been really great since he came back from injury. Makes them that much better. Would be cool if they find a way to make the playoffs in place of, say... the rockets.

Celtoes Adidas (Spottie), Thursday, 13 December 2018 05:51 (seven years ago)

Also shumpert seems like a good vet fit there.

Celtoes Adidas (Spottie), Thursday, 13 December 2018 05:52 (seven years ago)

bogdan is a good offensive player

lag∞n, Thursday, 13 December 2018 05:52 (seven years ago)

re lebrons shooting
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25513076/three-point-revolution-lebron-noticed

While James will never be a marksman of Curry's caliber -- who has never shot less than 41 percent from 3-point territory and is currently hitting 49 percent this season, James is hitting a respectable 37.1 percent this season (up from a career average of 34.4) on the highest volume of his career. That's better than the likes of J.J. Redick, Dame Lillard, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant.

It's OK that James will never wrest the unofficial title of "Greatest Shooter Ever to Live" from Curry (although he is, surprisingly, second in all-time for playoff 3-pointers behind only Curry), just as Curry will never receive the same credit for his passing or overall command of a game on both ends that James does.

But James has entered into a realm of respectability from the outside that is a far cry from his reputation.

тпсбlack (Spottie), Thursday, 13 December 2018 16:51 (seven years ago)

He's a decent shooter. Which is what makes his relatively low FT% head-scratching. It's gotten worse over the years!

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:00 (seven years ago)

the FT thing is really weird. hes been pretty lucky that it hasnt cost him in a big moment

тпсбlack (Spottie), Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:02 (seven years ago)

free throws are almost like putting though, sort of different mental element to it compared to shooting in the flow of a game

No Smockin' (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:05 (seven years ago)

yeah i agree with m@tt... bron's mechanics always kinda come and go (bron watchers in the media have talked about this for years obv) and there's a lot more time to think when you're at the line

J0rdan S., Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:06 (seven years ago)

plus i think it's the same wrt putting where once you start having a problem with it, you start thinking about having a problem with it, which makes the problem worse which makes you think about it more which makes the problem worse

actually that's just more like life in general

No Smockin' (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:08 (seven years ago)

agree!

тпсбlack (Spottie), Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:10 (seven years ago)

i still kind it kinda weird w bron tho cos hes so mentally strong.

тпсбlack (Spottie), Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:11 (seven years ago)

i also feel like lebron doesn't really give a fuck about like 90% of what happens in any given regular season game at any point... when he "needs" to make FTs he doesn't seem to miss them at any higher of a rate than any other player who isn't an auto 90% FT shooter

J0rdan S., Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:16 (seven years ago)

thing about brons shot is he makes as many as he does on talent not having good consistent form and its hard to talent in the high % of fts u need to theyre really unforgiving

lag∞n, Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:17 (seven years ago)

is this true though? I feel like I can recall a bunch of missed clutch FTs

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:39 (seven years ago)

even that game a week or two ago where the lakers won on outback or something was following a missed bron FT iirc

k3vin k., Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:39 (seven years ago)

it's def mental thing

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Thursday, 13 December 2018 18:52 (seven years ago)

But I feel that can be combated by having a solid routine. I am the king of the yips but do well on in-game FTs cause I have confidence in my routine.

dinwiddie is a p cool player
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPBM2V2uxiY

Brian Lewis @NYPost_Lewis

Dinwiddie on how he got hot: “If I hit two 3s in a row, I feel like Steph. So I hit a couple 3s, boy, I’m telling you, I felt like I was 6-3 and light-skinned. I wasn’t going to stop shooting after that.” #Nets

тпсбlack (Spottie), Thursday, 13 December 2018 19:37 (seven years ago)

visualize yrself as steph lol

lag∞n, Thursday, 13 December 2018 20:15 (seven years ago)

Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie has agreed to a three-year contract extension, per league sources on @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium.

тпсбlack (Spottie), Friday, 14 December 2018 02:13 (seven years ago)

what the hell? what is the "regular rotation?"

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 December 2018 02:19 (seven years ago)

What possible purpose does it serve to release a statement like that?

No Smockin' (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Friday, 14 December 2018 02:26 (seven years ago)

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 December 2018 02:34 (seven years ago)

if you've paid jabari parker $20mm as a known reclamation project during the offseason and then in mid-december made this announcement, you have provided clear evidence that all your coaches and front office people should be fired immediately.

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 December 2018 02:37 (seven years ago)

It’s so dumb. Just play him less and keep it in house idgi at all. Unless they’re making it public cos he was the one leading the mutiny and they want to mess with his reputation a bit?

тпсбlack (Spottie), Friday, 14 December 2018 02:39 (seven years ago)

could be i guess although all you heard out of milwaukee was how much they liked him as a guy. it doesn't seem like he'd have the clout to lead the revolt.

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 December 2018 02:42 (seven years ago)

i defer to the simplest explanation which is that they have absolutely no idea what they are doing

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 December 2018 02:42 (seven years ago)

Otm

тпсбlack (Spottie), Friday, 14 December 2018 02:56 (seven years ago)

I think my theory that the bucks were better off with Jabari was one of my stronger ones

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 December 2018 03:06 (seven years ago)

*without

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 December 2018 03:06 (seven years ago)

that ejection of nene was complete horseshit

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 December 2018 03:06 (seven years ago)

It’s also really really funny that this happened after Jabari gave that “defense doesn’t matter” interview

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 December 2018 03:07 (seven years ago)

Chris Paul really shimmied the rockets into a 38 win season

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 December 2018 03:10 (seven years ago)

xp yeah but how long ago was that?

like, they gave jabari no chance to demo that he was good physically and they didn't coach him up to improve his game. it's pure malpractice. i don't like him as a player but there has to be something to salvage there.

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 December 2018 03:10 (seven years ago)

That defense quote was during this last offseason lol

тпсбlack (Spottie), Friday, 14 December 2018 03:31 (seven years ago)

the bulls are comical... i’m even more convinced they’re the new knicks

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 December 2018 03:34 (seven years ago)

i remember some reporters last year basically outright saying jabari was an asshole in milwaukee towards the end bcuz he wasn’t getting as many minutes as he wanted

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 December 2018 03:36 (seven years ago)

so the next few months should be fun!

maybe they’ll buy him out? does he even get more than a minimum contract next year?

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 December 2018 03:38 (seven years ago)

i remember that too. i think there was a conscious effort not to smear him on the way out while confirming that he didn't like his role.
