So I guess Giannis did do a big jumper reformation going into this season. I haven't really paid attention to whether it's looking any worse this season, but it would make sense that his massive dip is him just trying something radically new (esp. if it was instituted right when Bud came in).

Kings v wolves was probably a fun watch 141-130. Bogdanovic has been really great since he came back from injury. Makes them that much better. Would be cool if they find a way to make the playoffs in place of, say... the rockets.

Also shumpert seems like a good vet fit there.

While James will never be a marksman of Curry's caliber -- who has never shot less than 41 percent from 3-point territory and is currently hitting 49 percent this season, James is hitting a respectable 37.1 percent this season (up from a career average of 34.4) on the highest volume of his career. That's better than the likes of J.J. Redick, Dame Lillard, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant.

It's OK that James will never wrest the unofficial title of "Greatest Shooter Ever to Live" from Curry (although he is, surprisingly, second in all-time for playoff 3-pointers behind only Curry), just as Curry will never receive the same credit for his passing or overall command of a game on both ends that James does.

But James has entered into a realm of respectability from the outside that is a far cry from his reputation.

He's a decent shooter. Which is what makes his relatively low FT% head-scratching. It's gotten worse over the years!

free throws are almost like putting though, sort of different mental element to it compared to shooting in the flow of a game

yeah i agree with m@tt... bron's mechanics always kinda come and go (bron watchers in the media have talked about this for years obv) and there's a lot more time to think when you're at the line

plus i think it's the same wrt putting where once you start having a problem with it, you start thinking about having a problem with it, which makes the problem worse which makes you think about it more which makes the problem worse

i also feel like lebron doesn't really give a fuck about like 90% of what happens in any given regular season game at any point... when he "needs" to make FTs he doesn't seem to miss them at any higher of a rate than any other player who isn't an auto 90% FT shooter

thing about brons shot is he makes as many as he does on talent not having good consistent form and its hard to talent in the high % of fts u need to theyre really unforgiving

even that game a week or two ago where the lakers won on outback or something was following a missed bron FT iirc

it's def mental thing

But I feel that can be combated by having a solid routine. I am the king of the yips but do well on in-game FTs cause I have confidence in my routine.
