getting the team to play hard is kinda the baseline for any coach

they still sell out games w/relatively high ticket prices. kinda like how the Cubs never gave a shit about being competitive on the field cause people still came regardless.

speaking of the Bulls is there any historical analogue to this Derrick Rose thing, where a player goes from MVP-caliber to an actively terrible bench player, then somehow becomes good again several years later? in the NFL Kurt Warner is the probably the most obvious example. can't really think of one in baseball
