the wolves are paying jeff teague and have, from their perspective, found money in derrick rose. glen taylor might be dead by the time fultz is playing positive basketball.

fultz is a year removed from being the #1 pick and honestly he looks terrible but it wldve been pretty reasonable to take him over one of the two role players they got back imo, philly being not ready to give up on him or just too embarrassed to move him seems more likely than the wolves not being interested, but idk maybe his name is just mud league wide after this whole yips/looking like hes on the pills scenario

there's a scene in bbc's "africa" where they catch two giraffes getting into a fight. the giraffes are incredibly strong and powerful but bcuz of their height everything is just kinda wobbly, and as they tussle it seems like they might fall over or break one of their legs at any time. this is what it's like to watch hassan whiteside guard joel embiid.

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 November 2018 02:59 (seven years ago)

lmao

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:01 (seven years ago)

35/18 from embiid tonight and he just put the game away with a step back 3

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:02 (seven years ago)

embiid went 3-4 from three and 16-20 from the line at 7 ft tall

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:03 (seven years ago)

dude is insane.

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:04 (seven years ago)

sometimes he just starts drawing fouls at an insane rate

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:05 (seven years ago)

think he's leading the league in FTA

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:07 (seven years ago)

he's shooting 10 FT per game at 80% and that was before tonight. so basically just banking 8 points every game.

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:09 (seven years ago)

idk how you're supposed to stop someone that big who can shoot 80% from the line

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:10 (seven years ago)

teams cld really help themselves by just letting him shoot 3s

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:10 (seven years ago)

a lot of those fts are generated via attacking the closeout

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:11 (seven years ago)

i agree. i feel like that's how horford was good at guarding him? he just always stayed in front of him and joel started dribbling the ball off his foot all the time and stuff.

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:16 (seven years ago)

guarding guys on the 3pt line that dont need to be is a pretty common problem these days maybe teams just dont have the time to prepare

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:20 (seven years ago)

not enough cross country flights to watch game tape, or just like you know not enough time to check to see what percentage embiid shoots from 3.

crazy how few smart defenders the league has

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:27 (seven years ago)

there must be some skill to pump faking that some guys have i.e. dudes falling for wade's pump fake long after they should ever be afraid of him making midrange jumpers

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:38 (seven years ago)

spurs v kings. sac looks pretty good. they run and shoot 3s v well.

21st savagery fox (m bison), Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:42 (seven years ago)

are the sacramento kings negligent parents? because my lord do they have a lot of screens.

21st savagery fox (m bison), Tuesday, 13 November 2018 03:43 (seven years ago)

Markelle Fultz said that the ball slipped out of his hands on his double-clutch free throw in the second quarter of tonight's game.

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:03 (seven years ago)

it's so weird how fultz conned everyone into thinking he had ever played basketball before, hats off

Clay, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:11 (seven years ago)

haha man i feel horrible for him. the yips is a helluva thing.

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:21 (seven years ago)

montrezl harrel is really fun to watch.

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:25 (seven years ago)

i love the yips so much, just the name the yips is so perfect

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:25 (seven years ago)

the wiki page for the yips is incredibly brutal btw highly suggested

Clay, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:28 (seven years ago)

what the hell

The yips affects between a quarter and a half of all mature golfers.[2] Researchers at the Mayo Clinic found that 33% to 48% of all serious golfers have experienced the yips[citation needed]. Golfers who have played for more than 25 years appear most prone to the condition.[citation needed]

lag∞n, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:30 (seven years ago)

i can def attest to the yips while golfing. i played competitively growing up and def had it on a few occasions. the most humiliating thing you can imagine. it seems way more common in individual sports. basketball players go through slumps but you usually dont have enough time to think and jinx yourself you're just more in the flow of the game with plenty of other stuff to think about (minus FTs obv)

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:39 (seven years ago)

pretty sure i get the yips driving stick sometimes

Clay, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:40 (seven years ago)

haha

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:41 (seven years ago)

sad

"We didn't even talk when we came in at halftime," Joe Harris said. "There was nothing to be said. Guys were crying. It was really that horrific just to see."

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:42 (seven years ago)

it appears marvin bagley has one singular move

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 04:48 (seven years ago)

Contract year Trill Will is an awesome player

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 05:10 (seven years ago)

micah, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 05:13 (seven years ago)

21st savagery fox (m bison), Tuesday, 13 November 2018 05:14 (seven years ago)

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 05:36 (seven years ago)

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 05:45 (seven years ago)

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 November 2018 05:48 (seven years ago)

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 05:55 (seven years ago)

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 05:58 (seven years ago)

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:00 (seven years ago)

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:03 (seven years ago)

I think I'm a Clippers fan?

Fetchboy, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:10 (seven years ago)

They've gotta fire Doc if he won't #freeboban, tho

Fetchboy, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:11 (seven years ago)

boban only playable in a few matchups. harrel needs to be getting 30 mins a night tho

Spottie, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:17 (seven years ago)

I'm definitely team Montrezl but can he play keep away with AD? The answer is no.

Fetchboy, Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:27 (seven years ago)

hah true

Wow that's cool, feel like golf is such a singularly weird sports culture must've been interesting to see it from the inside

Had a friend from HS that was great, he played on the low levels of the PGA for a couple years but then ended up being an alcoholic and almost killing himself so he quit and lives in the small town I grew up in after he got sober
